Of the Free Collection stories I have ever read, perhaps the most impressive one is Revenge In Repose (Valerie and Aiden). The story is too good, leaving me with many doubts. Currently, the manga has been translated to Lifetime 158. Let's read the author's Revenge In Repose (Valerie and Aiden) Free Collection story right here.

Chapter 158
Chapter 158
Over time, that terrifying impression only grew stronger.
He was paranoid, brooding, and cold–like a lone wolf lurking in the darkness, and she was the prey caught in his sights.
He might not strike immediately, but the moment she tried to resist or if someone else dared to interfere, that wolf would strike first killing her before she had the chance to escape.
That was Aiden.
”
Cold, silent, and emotionally detached–Aiden in his truest form.
And before all this, Valerie had been absolutely certain she had never met him before, nor did she have any memory of him at all.
As for why Aiden had seen her before, or why he seemed to possess such a deep, possessive obsession with her… Valerie had no clue.
In her past life, Valerie had simply assumed that Aiden acted the way he did because she was his wife–that he couldn’t tolerate betrayal or being cheated on, that he couldn’t stand lies or deception. That’s why he had treated her that way.
But everything that happened today had completely shattered what she had always believed to be true.
A knock came at the car window, and as Vivian rolled it down, Valerie turned to look–and immediately saw Aiden standing outside.
Aiden’s face was calm, his eyes fixed steadily on Valerie as he said, “Get out of the car.”
His tone was cold, leaving no room for argument.
Valerie’s heart pounded violently as she reached out for the door handle.
Vivian looked at her son, her emotions tangled. “You owe me an explanation,” she said.
“It’s just like you saw,” Aiden replied. “I liked her, so I married her. The engagement was just an excuse. Now that she’s my wife, that engagement?” He tugged at the corner of his lips in faint disdain and added nonchalantly, “What’s it got to do with me?”
His tone was firm, fearless–possessive and dismissive.
Valerie froze slightly in the act of getting out of the car, her heart still racing. She instinctively turned to look back at him.
At that moment, Aiden was also looking at her–his eyes as black and calm as ever, bottomless and unreadable.
Valerie’s heart skipped a beat, and she subconsciously looked toward Vivian.
Vivian’s expression was conflicted as she said, “If your grandfather finds out about this…”
“I don’t care,” Aiden said lazily, retracting his gaze to stare off into the distance. Behind him, Valerie could see the dazzling lights flickering brightly as he said plainly, “If the heir to the Walker family had to be decided by a woman, that would be the real joke.”
With that, he turned and walked off toward the Rolls–Royce parked ahead.
His assistant, Lennox, was already waiting respectfully by the car. When he saw Aiden approaching, he opened the door.
Valerie offered Vivian an apologetic smile and said, “Mom, I’ll head off first.”
Vivian tooked conflicted and asked, “What you just said… was all that true?”
Valerie nodded firmly. Only then did Vivian say, “Go on.”

Chapter 158
Vivian watched the backs of her son and daughter–in–law as they left, rubbing her temples.
Her son… had far too many flaws in his personality. She had personally witnessed him during one of his manic episodes locking himself in arcon blood all over the floor and had seen him curled in a corner, eyes bloodshot, clutching a pillow like his life depended on it.
For him to become who he was now, she genuinely felt happy from the bottom of her heart.
‘Forget it. Let him do as he pleases,‘ she thought.
Valerie got into the car, her emotions caught in a tangle of contradictions.
Her mind drifted, ‘I thought I’d hidden everything so well. Who would’ve guessed Aiden knew everything from the start–everything I tried to cover up- and I was the fool, playing the clown, thinking he knew nothing…”
‘What a joke.‘
Regret settled in as she glanced over at him, just in time to see Aiden slowly undoing the buttons of his suit jacket.
She was about to speak when he suddenly reached out and grabbed her hand.
Valerie flinched in surprise, and with just a little force, he pulled her into his arms.
She stared at him, wide–eyed, head tilted slightly back. She could clearly feel the strong, steady beat of his heart against her chest.
Aiden stared down at her, then suddenly lowered his head and kissed her deeply.
Valerie’s breath caught in her throat as she blinked, confused by the sudden kiss–only to yelp in pain the next moment when he bit down hard on her lip.
The pain came out of nowhere, and she winced in response.
But right after, Aiden released her. His nose brushed against hers, his voice husky as he asked, “What were you just thinking?”
“What?” Valerie asked blankly.
He clarified, “When they said you were a fake–what were you thinking about?”
Valerie subconsciously recalled, ‘I was thinking… I have to push for a divorce. I already have an apartment now. If the Walker family demands financial compensation, I’ll just find a way to cover the hole later. As long as Aiden doesn’t imprison or torture me, I can deal with anything.”
That thought made her eyes tremble faintly.
Then a sharp pain jolted through her chin. Snapping back to the moment, she saw the cold, penetrating look in Aiden’s eyes as he asked, “You were thinking about how to leave me with the least damage, weren’t you?”
His words struck her straight in the heart. Her breath caught, and she immediately looked away, guilty, stammering, “I… I wasn’t, I mean–how could t think something like that…”
Aiden sneered and pinched her chin. “Is that so? Then what were you thinking about?”
