Nathan’s expression was thunderous. Very soon, someone who looked like his assistant walked over and said something in his ear. He immediately flung the socialite’s hand away. 

As she was wearing high heels, his violent movement made her fall onto her backside at once. At the same time, she managed to spill all the drinks laid out on the table beside her all over herself.

He called a waiter over and asked him where the dressing rooms were

“Mr. Mitchell has left. Do we still need to stay for a while?”

“Let’s go.” Liam glanced at me and knew that I had reached my limit for socializing that day, “You haven’t tested since you got off the plane. It’s getting late, no home and have a good cest.”

After we left the banquet hall, a warm breeze blew over me, and it made me feel less exhausted. 

“Wait a moment.” Liam frowned and felt in his pockets. “I think 1 left my phone inside. Wait for me here, and I’ll go and look for it.” 

“You left your phone inside?” I frowned at him. I wondered how he had managed to drop his phone. 

I pulled my coat tighter around me and walked forward “you can go ahead. I’ll wait for you in the car.” 

I didn’t often wear high heels for such a long period of time, and my feet were aching terribly. 

When I reached the black Bentley, I grabbed the handle to pull the car door open. But it didn’t open. I frowned and locked on the window, but no one responded. 

I bent down to look in through the window and saw that the driver wasn’t in the car. 

I didn’t have any way to contact the driver, and I didn’t know whether Liam had found his phone yet or not, I had no choice but to cross my arms and lean against the car door to wait. 

It was late at night, and there weren’t many people around. There were only glamorously dressed, successful–looking people who were leaving t
