Maybe it wasn’t exactly a secret; it was 

it was just the way we expressed out feelings for each other differently. After all, that part of my past wasn’t something everyone could know

“You seem preoccupied today like you have something heavy on your mind. Keeping it bottled up won’t help. Why not share it with us?”

“If you guys don’t have anything planned, could you come with me to the library?” I asked softly, standing as I stuffed my books into my backpack 

William and Gabrielle exchanged glances before both nodded in agreement, willing to join me. 

At the library, I wandered alone between the shelves, searching for clues that might relate to the paper crane in my hand. I knew it sounded absurd, but my intuition told me that the crane’s appearance wasn’t a coincidence. 

“What are you loolding for?” gabrielle asked softly, trailing behind me.
