"Evelyn, let's go," Ethan whispered softly in my ear. His tone was full of affection. "There's still so much we need to do, isn't there?"

I nodded eagerly and flashed him my brightest smile. We bid goodbye to the guests and walked hand in hand out of the venue.

Not far away, a luxury car awaited us. Ethan, ever the gentleman, opened the door for me, and I sank into the soft leather seats.

My heart was racing with excitement. Everything that happened tonight felt surreal, as though I were in a dream.

Suddenly, Ethan chuckled. "Starting tomorrow, we'll begin preparations for establishing the Lendora branch and start thinking about the theme for next season's designs."

I nodded eagerly. "No problem, leave it to me. I won't let you down!"

The car sped through the night. The glowing lights of the bustling city slowly faded as we drove on. I could barely contain my excitement as I watched the ever-changing scenery outside the window.

This was the first time I was out alone with Ethan. Though it was a business trip, I couldn't help but feel the deep emotions stirring inside me.

"Mr. Grayson, where are we going?" I asked curiously.

He smiled. "You don't know? We're going to scout locations for the Lendora branch."

"What? So soon?" I exclaimed. My eyes widened with surprise. "We're starting already?"

"Well, it's quite late. We'll resume tomorrow," he said, chuckling at my reaction.

He took my hand and said tenderly, "Don't worry, I've already informed my assistant to prepare your luggage and documents. Besides, what could you possibly want that I can't fulfill for you? Don't overthink it… You're my lead designer, so I have to take good care of you, right?"

"By the way," he added casually, "we're staying in a hotel tonight. Do you think we should do something else?"

Teasing me had clearly become one of his greatest pleasures.

The atmosphere in the car became subtly charged, and I could feel my cheeks burning with embarrassment.

The car sped along the road, and I lost track of time. Just as I was about to drift off to sleep, I felt the seat beside me dip.

Groggily, I opened my eyes and met Ethan's deep, affectionate gaze. He looked at me tenderly, gently brushing the hair from my forehead before adjusting my coat collar.

"Go to sleep," he said softly. "I'll wake you up when we arrive. You really never make things easy for me…"
