I glanced at his face, which looked much younger than I remembered, and forced a smile. I pulled up my bank details and said, “Here. Thank you.” 

The mischievous glint in Ethan’s eyes disappeared instantly. He muttered an “oh” and paid me. For some reason seeing him so flustered made me want to laugh.
