Chapter 971 Applying the Medicine

Nicole continued to press down with an expressionless face, rubbing her warm palm against the injured skin.

Colton could feel a piercing pain. Although he could endure it, he couldn't help but cry out in pain as Nicole was the one applying medicine to him. "Ouch, it hurts so much! Nicky, be gentle. You're killing me!"

Seeing Colton's exaggerated reaction, Nicole continued to apply force in silence.

After she finished applying it, the living room was filled with the smell of medicine. Nicole packed her medical kit and prepared to leave, but Colton held onto her.

He buried his head into her chest as he hugged her and murmured, "Nicky, I miss you so much."

He rubbed his nose against her and sniffed the scent on her body.

Nicole pushed Colton away with a frown and asked in disgust, "What are you doing? It's not like we're saying goodbye forever or anything."

"Nicky, the people you brought with you are so vicious. I almost died. Didn't you see that? He was trying to kill me with every punch!" Colton whispered.

Colton wasn't wrong. Nicole saw it too. Although she stopped the fight early, Roger was packing strength in every punch, threatening to take Colton's life.

"They all come from those lawless places where every fight is a matter of life and death. Sometimes they might hit too hard," Nicole replied while looking at Colton. After a moment of thought, she continued, "Besides, I advised you not to go up there, but you insisted on showing off. You deserved it."

Colton laughed and held Nicole's hand even tighter. "Nicky, I never realized how charming you are," he whispered. "Many men are head over heels for you."

As a man, Colton could sense Roger's feelings for Nicole. Although it wasn't intense, it was pretty possessive.

Roger realized this was unacceptable since they were no longer in a lawless area. After returning to the room, he ordered everyone to change out of their camouflage clothes and into regular clothes.

Back in the room, he looked expressionless, and Roy worriedly asked, "Chief, are you okay?"

Roger waved his hand and replied, "What could happen? Do you think that pretty boy could knock me out?"

At the sight of Roger's stubbornness, Roy scratched his head and said, "Although that man looked weak, his skills were decent and that punch was quite heavy. I'm just afraid that you're hurt."

Thinking about Colton annoyed Roger, and he waved his hand as he muttered, "It's alright. You go back and rest. The matter with Boss' son is still a concern, and we need to deal with someone from Undercity this time. We can't take it lightly."

Roy looked at Roger and left without saying a word
