Chapter 972 Nausea

When the room was empty and only Roger was left, he sat on the bed, feeling a little dizzy.

He took a deep breath and rolled up his shirt, revealing a red mark on his abdomen from Colton's punch. Although Colton's physique appeared thin and small without much muscle, his punch had injured Roger.

Frowning, Roger looked down at the red patch on his waist and abdomen. His muscles were well-trained and most people couldn't hurt him.

However, Colton could injure him with one punch, indicating that this man still had some skills.

Being injured was nothing new to Roger; this minor injury wouldn't make him cry out in pain.

He grabbed some medicine, casually applied it to himself, and then lay on the bed. He stared at the ceiling with his black eyes. After a while, he moved slightly.

After Nicole became the master of the Lome, many new members were rebellious. They didn't understand how a woman, especially a delicate one, could become the master of the Lome.

However, all of these rebellions were suppressed by Roger's fists.

He still remembered that when his life was hanging by a thread, Nicole pressed on his chest and saved him.

As the adopted son of the former Lome master, Roger was the most hopeful candidate to become the master after the former master's death. However, Nicole was chosen because she had helped almost everyone in Lome then.

And he had fallen in love with her at some point.

Roger closed his eyes. He knew he wasn't worthy of Nicole. He lived a dangerous life, while Nicole was now the young mistress of the Wrenn Family and should be with men like Colton.

He couldn't bear it, that was all.

Nicole nodded and looked at the slightly faded rash, sighing softly. "Hayden, don't scratch these red spots. It won't look good if they leave any scars."

Hayden nodded and replied, "I know, Mom."

Just as Nicole was about to continue speaking, her expression changed. She quickly stood up, intending to go to the bathroom, but couldn't hold back and began to retch while leaning against the wall.

Nicole retched with a pale face. Her appetite hadn't been good these past few days, and she had only eaten a little to fill her stomach. When she retched, she only spat out a bit of bile.

Colton looked at Nicole and quickly stepped forward to pat her back, helping her to ease her discomfort.

After a few breaths, she managed to suppress the urge to vomit. She knew that it was a pregnancy reaction. She had also experienced it when she was pregnant with Hayden. Now that the time had come, she couldn't avoid it.

Meanwhile, Nicole had turned pale. She wanted to have an abortion, but it had been delayed because of Hayden's situation. After all, if she had an abortion, she would also need to recuperate and didn't have that much time
