Chapter 973 Feeling Unwell
Colton looked at Nicole's pale face and felt his heart ache.
He reached out to support her and asked softly with a frown, "How are you feeling? Are you okay?"
Nicole reacted and tasted bitterness in her mouth. She shook her head and said, "It's nothing."
Hayden's face was filled with worry when he saw that Nicole was uncomfortable. "Mom, what's wrong?"
Colton patted Nicole's back and didn't say much to Hayden. He only said, "She has been too tired recently and she may not be feeling well."
Hayden didn't doubt it, and his little face wrinkled like a bun as he said maturely, "Mom, I'm okay. Now that we're in the hospital, both my grandmothers and the doctors will care for me. You don't have to worry. We'll go home right away as soon as I get better."
Nicole forced a bleak smile and pursed her lips. "I'm alright," she murmured in a low voice. "It's just a bit of stomach discomfort."
Nicole raised her face, her complexion and lips pale. Truth was, she looked like she was about to collapse.
Colton reached out to hold her, and she felt nauseous in her stomach. She feared Hayden would worry, so she urged, "Rest well, Hayden. I'll come to see you another day."
Hayden nodded and commented cutely, "Mom, you should rest too."
After speaking, he looked up at Colton with a serious expression. "Dad, you have to take good care of Mom."
"Okay." Colton agreed before supporting Nicole out of the ward.
On the other end, Nicole couldn't hold it in anymore after leaving the ward. She leaned against the wall and squatted beside a trash can, retching continuously.
Nicole didn't want to say much now. The smell of hospital disinfectant made her feel dizzy and uncomfortable.
Colton tugged on Nicole's arm and looked at his mother as he mentioned in a low voice, "Mom, I'll take Nicole back first. Thank you for taking care of Hayden."
Anna waved her hand and urged, "Go back and rest first. I'll take care of things here, so don't worry."
"Okay." Colton nodded before turning around and taking Nicole with him.
It was raining heavily outside, and the raindrops were hitting the ground loudly. The sky was dark and gloomy.
The tall trees outside the hospital were being battered by the wind and rain, making a rustling sound as the leaves swayed back and forth in the wind.
When they arrived, it was still sunny but in the blink of an eye, the rain had started pouring
