Surprised, Mark stared at Hansel.

Hansel smiled. “What’s wrong daddy? Why are you looking at me like that?”

“How did you know?” Mark asked.

Hansel chuckled and said proudly, “I’m smart!”

It was without a doubt that he was a smart kid but the precision was absurd, Mark was not a gullible person either.

“Do you think I’ll believe you?” Mark asked and grabbed the kid into his arms.

“Speak now, how did you know about that?” He feigned tickling Hansel to make him talk.

Who would have expected that Hansel’s certainty gave Mark a hint?

“Okay, okay, I’ll talk!” Hansel gave it because he was afraid of being tickled.

“Speak out loud, young man!”

“Actually, I hacked into your computer and saw a file named CK Ltd. I noticed that you paid quite a lot of attention to it, so I did some digging. After a simple analysis, I knew that this CK Ltd. should be your company as well.”

Mark was left speechless by the term ‘simple analysis’.

“The reason why you gave your company up so easily is because you want Logan to know his limits. You wanted him to know he can never be you, and you must have a plan to get back your company,” Hansel said.

Mark did not know what to answer.

A few simple words from Hansel and Mark’s entire plan was revealed.

More importantly, Mark did not even write them down, he had the plans in his mind all along and only Neil knew about it.

Mark stared at Hansel for a long while and did not know what to say.

Hansel looked at him. “What’s wrong daddy?”

“I really want to crack your head open and see what’s inside,” Mark replied.

“So, does it mean I got it right?” Hansel raised a brow. The truth was, he was only guessing Mark’s plan, he did not have enough evidence to confirm his thoughts but after seeing the look on Mark’s face, he knew he was right.

Mark had learned how to stay calm in front of Hansel after the boy surprised him over and over again, there was nothing about the boy that he could not accept anymore.

After he calmed down, he nodded at Hansel. “Yeah, you are right.”

Hansel chuckled.

“Tell me, what do you think about my ‘plan’?” Mark looked at the boy as if he was looking at an adult. The boy’s intellect could already rival or surpass a normal adult.

Hansel sat down beside Mark and started thinking.

“I think it’s a decent plan. You want Logan to learn his lesson from all this and tell him that he doesn’t have what it takes to run a company. If he learned his lesson, he will not covet the position anymore. You might lose some money but I suppose daddy has a lot of money to spare!” Hansel stated with a smile.

Hansel spoke Mark’s mind.

“You are right, that’s my plan.” Mark acknowledged everything and decided to be honest with Hansel. He was keeping secrets from the boy before this because he was afraid that the boy would not understand, but now it seemed like he did not have to worry at all.

Hansel nodded. “But I think even if you tried to teach Logan a lesson, he wouldn’t just give up like that.”

“Then what do you think I should do?” Mark asked.

“Hmmm, the best way would be to make Logan work in the company as an employee,” Hansel suggested.

“In the company?”

“Yeah. Just give him any position. A useless person like him would fail at every task but he would be unhappy if you don’t give him what he wants. So, the best way would be to give him a useless position.”

Mark slightly furrowed his brows at the suggestion. He then nodded. “Sounds like a plan!”

“More importantly, it will make you look like a benevolent person, daddy!”

“Okay, let’s go with it!”

He looked deeply into Hansel’s eyes. “I did not expect you to understand something so deep.”

Hansel shrugged. “It can’t be helped, I’m a genius after all.”

“What do you think, do you want to come help me at the company?”

“No!” Hansel rejected without a second thought.

“Why not?” Mark asked.

“I’m not interested.” Hansel had no interest in working.

“Not interested? Then what are you interested in? Don’t forget that you are my son, the company will belong to you and your sister in the future. It’s something that not everyone can get even if they wished for!”

“That’s someone else’s problem. What if I grew up to be better than you and achieved something even bigger?” Hansel argued. He was not the typical kid who would inherit his father’s business.

Mark grinned when he heard the question. “Bigger than my achievements?”

“Uh-huh!”

“Those are some bold words!”

“If you don’t believe me, we shall wait and see, daddy!” Hansel sounded confident.

Hansel had already achieved a lot in his current stage. His money was more than enough to start seven to eight companies at once but he did not have interests in running a company. Otherwise, he could have rivaled Mark in being a leader.

Mark smiled. “I shall wait and see.”

Despite the ridicule, he believed in Hansel. Hansel was a few times smarter than others his age, it was not exaggerating to call him a genius either. Who knew what he would become in 20 years, not even Mark dared to picture the future because it was so uncertain.

“Okay!”

Mark smiled at Hansel’s confident look. “Okay, it’s getting late. Time for bed!”

“I’ll go to bed now.”

“Me too.” Mark stood up as well.

“Where are you sleeping tonight?”

Mark pointed at Lyla’s room. Hansel had something in his mind that he wanted to say but some hesitance later, he decided to put the thought away. He nodded and said, “Okay, Daddy, good night.”

He smiled even wider and said, “Why don’t I have a ‘go’ with you here instead?”

“How dare you!”

There was nothing that the bold Mark Pattison dared not do. He rolled over again and placed Lyla on top of him this time.

Lyla flushed and was at a loss of action. “Mark Pattison! You jerk!”

Mark was amused. Every time he saw her smile, the happiness in him overflowed.

“Me? A jerk?” Ms. Lowe, I want you to know that you are ‘jerking’ me now. I didn’t do anything to you yet!”

“YOU!”

“Do you know I can sue you for rape?!”

Rape? Lyla chuckled when she heard the term. “Really? Then I guess I’ll be a jerk today!”

The look on her changed and a bad feeling rose in Mark’s heart. “What are you trying to do?”

Lyla smiled at him. She grabbed the pillow and slammed it on his face, “I’ll teach you a lesson today!”

Mark was speechless.

A pillow war broke out in the room.

Lyla swung her pillow on Mark and tried to hit him as hard as she could.

Mark put up a defensive stance and would touch her in between her attacks, teasing and making fun of her.

She was angry and ticklish at the same time.

It was getting livelier in the room.

Hansel prepared breakfast on the table and the noise inside the room caught his attention.

He wanted to call his daddy and mommy out but the unusual noise in the room overpowered his own. He had to grab the key and open the door.

Then, the scene that he saw inside the room made his jaw drop.

Lyla, in her pajamas, looked like a madwoman as she rode Mark’s body like a horse. The two of them were as intimate as they could be.

Hansel’s mind jumbled up at the moment he saw the scene.

His elegant and beautiful mommy became so…

“Daddy, mommy, you guys…” Hansel did not know what to say. It was at that moment he knew his mommy was so strong.

Lyla and Mark were petrified when Hansel came in, the two of them stared at the entrance like a statue.

“Hansel…” Lyla was speechless and did not know what to say to her son.

Hansel smiled awkwardly. “I just want to tell you guys breakfast is served, I didn’t see anything. You guys continue.”

Then, before the two adults could say a word, the boy left in a hurry.
