“If that’s the case, let me fix a date so that you can fight my daddy to death. Don’t worry, I won’t interfere. How’s that sound?” Hansel suggested.
Orpheus said, “...B-Bring it on!”
Hansel smiled. “Does it mean you agree to form an alliance with Ghost Gate?”
“Sh*t!” Orpheus realized Hansel tricked him.
“Hansel, you are as evil as your daddy!” Orpheus felt helpless and frustrated.
“I’m just a little smarter, hehe…”
“Hmph!” Orpheus grunted.
Justin then said, “Actually, Hansel has a point there. If we can really form an alliance with Ghost Gate, it will only solidify our position, even the Eastern Union won’t do anything for now!”
“Yeah, but Mark is a mysterious man, will he form an alliance with us?”
“I’ll try my best to make it happen,” Hansel said.
“His son is with us, what are we afraid of? If he somehow betrays us, he will have to face his son first! We don’t have to worry!” Justin stated.
The atmosphere suddenly felt awkward.
Were they trying to threaten Mark using Hansel as a hostage?
“This… is what I am working towards, I’ll do my best to stop it from happening,” Hansel said because he could not give up on either side.
“Well then, I’ll leave it to you,” Justin replied.
“Okay!” Hansel said. He originally thought of convincing the others when it finally happened but now it seemed like it was not needed. The others were much more open-minded than he thought but thankfully, it saved him a lot of trouble.
“That’s it?” Orpheus popped up into the conversation again.
“Orpheus, you don’t have to worry. If that day comes, I’ll call you out and let you fight my daddy to death.”
“Try not to cry like a little girl then,” Orpheus said.
“Don’t worry, I’m very open-minded. Winner takes all, and I won’t choose sides,” Hansel responded righteously.
Orpheus grunted and stayed quiet after that. He too was an open-minded person and the grudge he had with Mark was nothing serious, it was just the stubbornness of men. The future of Hell’s Angel took priority over anything else and if forming an alliance with Ghost Gate was beneficial, he could simply put his grudge aside.
Everyone reached an agreement after discussing.
“Right, where’s Lingo? It has been a while since I saw her,” Hansel asked.
“She’s away on a mission.”
Hansel nodded. He then thought of something and said, “Oh, Justin, I almost forgot.”
“What is it?”
“I want Piers to take over my business in the Asian market,” Hansel said.
Both of them knew who Piers was, so Justin said after some thought, “You saw him?”
Hansel nodded. “Yeah, he helped me with some stuff before this, I can tell he is quite capable based on his performance, I believe I got the right guy.”
“You are the person in charge of the Asian market, if that’s your decision, we’ll respect it,” said Justin.
Up until this point, Hansel had never made a bad decision or mistake before, so in Justin’s eyes, Hansel was godlike.
Hansel nodded. “Okay.”
Some chit-chat later, Hansel went offline.
On the other hand at Mark’s apartment, he sat in front of his desk with a glass of wine and was video-calling someone.
“Are you sure you want to do this?”
Neil was on the other end of the call, he too had a glass of red wine in hand and looked like he was enjoying it.
Mark raised a brow lazily. “Of course.”
“If so, M.K. might lose a fortune,” Neil said.
“I don’t care, we either go big or go home,” Mark retorted. He sounded like he had already won.
Neil smiled and nodded. “Okay, if you say so, I’ll do whatever I can.”
Mark raised a brow and took a sip of red wine.
“I bet if you can go big, you will throw yourself or even your children into all this,” Neil said.
Mark was stunned when he heard that, he looked at Neil through the camera. “Are you sure about that?”
“Uh-huh.”
“Wanna bet?” He asked.
“Bet? You don’t even really have a son,” Neil said as he took another sip of red wine.
“What if I do?” Mark replied.
“I know everything about you, what else can you hide?” Neil asked, but when the words escaped his mouth, he was stunned.
He stared at Mark. “What do you mean by that?”
Mark smiled and drank his wine in silence.
“Can it be? Kathleen is pregnant with your child?” Neil said.
Mark rolled his eyes white at him. “She got nothing to do with me!”
“You really have a son?” Neil stared at Mark. If Mark did not deny it, based on how well he knew Mark, the man must have a son!
Hansel and Gretel popped up in his mind, Mark grinned proudly because he did not only have a son but also a daughter.
“Hoho?” Neil got excited. He knew that a playboy like Mark would never settle down but he was curious who it would be.
“Who is it?” Neil asked. The suspension was killing him.
Mark decided to maintain the mystery and kept quiet.
“Did you… pick up some child on the roadside?” Neil asked.
Based on what he knew about Mark’s personality, the man would never want a child at this stage.
It was then Mark stared back at Neil, meaning Neil got it right.
“You did?!”
“You are living with them now?!”
“Yup.”
Neil was jealous of Mark about almost everything, it almost drove him mad.
It was not exaggerating to call Mark the favorite child of God. Aside from the fact that he was handsome, more capable, and smarter than others, his love life was also sailing high, it was a little too good to be true!
“Don’t be jealous,” Mark said with a smile.
Neil rolled his eyes white at Mark. “When will you bring me to meet your son and daughter?”
He was rather curious who the children looked like, Mark or Lyla.
If the children resembled Lyla, they would be beautiful; if they were like Mark, it would be outrageous.
“Don’t rush it, you’ll get the chance.”
Mark wanted to end the conversation and before he left, he left a reminder for Neil, “Oh, remember to bring presents when you meet them, my son and daughter are quite materialistic.”
Neil was left speechless. It seemed like the twins resembled Mark more than Lyla.
Before Neil could speak another word, Mark left.
Neil was left alone in front of his computer. He started to imagine how Mark spent his days with the twins but no matter how much brain juice he squeezed, he could hardly paint a picture in his mind.
Neil knew everything about Mark and because of that, he found it difficult to believe.
His mind remained muddled even after a long while, so he decided to put the thoughts aside for now. He would know more when he finally met the twins and he started to look forward to the meeting.
…
After leaving his apartment, Mark returned to Lyla’s place. Gretel went to bed after saying goodnight to Lyla and when Mark walked through the entrance, he saw Hansel walking out.
“You are still up at this time?” Mark asked.
“I came out for some water.”
Mark walked closer and Hansel looked at him. “Want some?”
Mark shook his head. Hansel got himself a glass of water and the two of them walked to the couch.
“Daddy, you look happy, something good happened?” Hansel asked.
Mark looked at him. “What do you think it is?”
Hansel feigned a thinking look and said, “Hmm, have you decided to take back your company?”
Mark was stunned. He had no idea whether Hansel got it right by coincidence or the little guy was a little too smart.
“You seem to know almost everything.”
“Of course!”
“Then tell me, what should I do next?” Mark then took a sip of water from Hansel’s glass.
“Use CK Ltd. against Logan. When the company suffers a great loss, he will have to step down and he will be begging you to go back,” Hansel said.
Mark almost choked on the water he drank.
