Lyla looked at Mark and asked, "What are you doing?"

Mark answered frankly, "I’m resting!"

"Go back to your own bed to rest!"

"It’s all the same anyway."

Lyla was speechless.

Seeing Mark’s insufferable face, Lyla really wanted to kick him off the bed.

As if Mark had read her mind, he quickly let out a hiss before she did anything to him.

Lyla saw this and immediately looked at him with concern. She asked, "What's wrong?"

"I think I accidentally touched my wound..."

Lyla leaned over and looked at his back, where there was still a thick layer of bandages. She recalled the way he saved her that day vividly.

She suddenly felt soft-hearted and felt his pain. She asked, "Is it alright? Do you want me to call a doctor?"

As she said this, she got down from the bed.

However, Mark seized the opportunity to grab her and pulled her into his arms. He said, "No, just let me hold you like this for a while."

Lyla raised her eyes, her gaze full of suspicion, and asked, "You're not lying to me, are you?"

"I wouldn’t dare to lie to you! It really hurts, but even a good doctor isn’t as good as you."
