Panic gripped Kevin's heart as he hurriedly searched the room for me.

"Caroline, Caroline, where are you? Caroline!"

But there was no trace of me in the room. Desperate, he quickly pulled out his phone and tried to call me.

The message said I was blocked. He switched to sending a text, only to find that all my contact information had been deleted and blocked.

The dream he had last night flooded back to his mind, and Kevin's face turned pale. He quickly called for the doctor.

The doctor explained that they weren't sure what happened. After I asked not to be disturbed while sleeping, they hadn't entered the room.

It wasn't until they checked the surveillance that they discovered I had quietly left the hospital less than an hour after Kevin had left.

Kevin was immediately frantic. He called the police while rushing home.

Once home, he jumped out of the car and rushed into the house. He grabbed a maid on the way and demanded:

"Where's my wife? Did she come back?"

"Ma'am... she did come back yesterday, but left again soon after, saying she was just picking up some things before returning to the hospital." The maid, terrified by Kevin's urgency, trembled as she spoke.

Kevin was about to say something when his gaze landed on the divorce papers placed on the coffee table. He released the maid and walked over, trembling as he picked up the contract.

When he saw my name written on the last page, he was frozen, as if his soul had been sucked out of him.

How could this be? His Caroline, how could she divorce him? This must be a misunderstanding!

Furious, Kevin ripped the divorce papers in half and scattered them in the air.

"Go, get everyone on it immediately. Find my wife, now!"
