Bryce was led into Hera's ward after informing Mariam to update the sisters at the convent about Hera's progress. She's asking for him and he didn't know what to expect. Was she angry at him? Would she scold him? Would she tell him off? With every step he took, his fears only heightened.

He stepped into her room to find her resting with her eyes closed but when he got closer to her bed, she slowly opened her eyes to find him in front of her. Her once cheerful and peaceful face had gone pale and he suddenly felt guilty.

Hera on the other hand was ecstatic to see Bryce. She had thought that he had left when he found out that she was pregnant. It took a lot of convincing on the doctor's part that he was still out there waiting for her and that's why she asked that he was brought in to come and see her so that she'd know what to believe. If maybe they were lying to her or otherwise but here he was.

It took everything she had to not jump out of bed and run into his arms but she opened up her arms instead and he walked into them, the tears that stung her eyes, falling freely. Bryce felt relieved that she wasn't angry at him. His whole world was right here in his arms.

"Bryce I'm s-so sorry." She apologized in between sobs and hiccups. "I lost the baby and i tried to run away from you after hiding it because i was too scared to face you and—"

He pulled away from her. "You lost what?" He asked suddenly. Didn't she know? Didn't the doctor tell her?

"The baby." She sniveled, her eyes turning red from crying too much. Bryce knew then that she wasn't aware that she was still pregnant. The doctor had told him and not her. "I know that you hate me now and that you probably wouldn't want to be with me anymore because i lied to you but i didn't mean to Bryce. It was never my intention. I was scared that you would hate me and you're right to hate me—"

"Hera, sweetheart." He drawled soothingly, kissing her cheeks that had gone salty from crying too hard but still, he didn't mind. "You didn't loose our baby Hera. Our baby is safe and you're still pregnant with our baby." He placed his hands gently on her stomach to assure her that he was speaking the truth so that she believes him.

"I'm still pregnant?" She asked, dumbfounded. "I was bleeding and i thought that i—"

"Our baby is fine." It took a whole lot for Bryce not to break down in front of her. "You're still pregnant Cara. You're carrying my child."

"So you don't hate me?" She sniffed but he only smiles.

"Now why would i hate the mother of my child?" He kissed her knuckles.

"Because you told me that you didn't want kids. I asked you that night and you said you weren't ready to have them." She went on. "And i don't blame you for it. You've suffered a lot growing up so i completely understand why you didn't want them or a family."

"I only said what i said that night because of you." He told her. "I didn't want them because i wasn't sure that you wanted them and I didn't want to pressure you into thinking about it. I know the lengths that you are always willing to go for me and i didn't want to put this on you when you weren't ready for it."

Hera remained silent, watching him with nothing but tears trailing down her cheeks.
