"What are you doing? Do you know how long Mr. Gardner has been in the Gulliford Group and how much he has contributed? How could you fire him just like that? Who gave you the right?"

"I'm the chairman. I have the right to fire a department head," Trevor stood up and said softly.

He had expected Vincent to come. After all, that director was hired by Vincent.

"Nonsense! Don't you know that he works under me? Are you looking for a beating, Trevor Gulliford?"

"I was the one who leaked the information regarding the software." Jessica stared at him intently. Her inky eyes were filled with a sense of responsibility.

"No information was leaked." Trevor casually said, he sat on his chair and picked up the telephone to make a call.

"Chairman, I betrayed the company. I leaked the information just to get some money. It's the truth." Jessica spoke once more.

"Isn't angering Trevor an easy task? Why was it so difficult to make him mad today?"

"How much money?" Trevor did not raise his head, but the corner of his mouth lifted mockingly.

"1.5 million dollars." She revealed without hesitation.

1.5 million dollars was not a small amount. It was enough to make a secretary reveal the company's secrets.

"1.5 million dollars? Hm." Trevor snorted. The corner of his lips curled further into a mocking smile. "That software is still in its early stages. Its total value is less than 750 thousand dollars. Which company would give you 1.5 million dollars for software worth only 750 thousand dollars?"
