Bella's brother met Steve at the door and showed him Bella's room. Steve carried her to her room and gently lay her on her bed. Doc came in followed by the prospect who was bringing in the electric oxygen. The prospect plugged in the machine and Doc turned it on attaching the oxygen tube and putting it on Bella.

The prospect Devin looked at her. She was broken she just lay there staring at the ceiling. Her spirit was gone. She was not Bella the woman the club members had grown to love. It was not Richard who broke her it was Wolf who destroyed her self-esteem, took away the joy she had when she was with him.4

Wolf took away her dreams and the life she had hoped for. Bella has become someone who has lost all hopes and dreams of the person she had once been. Emotionally he broke her. Bella has lost all hope or desire for happiness. Bella feels she was rejected and unwanted.

Doc said we have to watch her very closely her feeling like she has a broken spirit can often leave the person in a state of depression, which can also result in suicidal thoughts. Bella the doctor said. Bella, Bella look at me. Bella slowly turned her head and looked at Doc. He said. Listen to me. You have to eat, you have to get better.

I know what Richard did to you caused you a lot of pain. Your body will heal and so will your mind. She said in a soft voice. Doc I don't care what Richard did to me. I cared that Wolf chose to throw me away and take a club whore. I care that he lied to me, he didn't even care that Richard took me.

He doesn't care that Richard raped me, and beat me. He broke my heart. He made me believe that he wanted me to be with him forever. He lied about that. I learned to trust again she said with tears sliding down her face. I now know that I can only trust my brothers and my friends. I can never, ever trust another man again. She rolled over on her side and faced the wall. The prospect watched as she closed herself off to the men in the room. Steve could see it starting. She is no longer going to let anyone inside nor is she going to form an emotional connection with anyone but her current friends and family.

She has already shut doc and the prospect out of her life. Steve said. Bella, it's ok to build those walls around your heart. Those walls will protect you from all those men who are trying to get in with force and who will only disappoint you afterward. Your walls will only tumble down for the one man who will pursue you, the man who will take it slow with you because he knows that he has to be careful with you.

Steve sighed and said. Let's leave her alone to get some rest. She listened as they walked out of the room and closed her door. She heard Devin the prospect say. Why did Wolf do this? I know he loves her. He told us he did. I'm going to kill him he said as he stormed down the stairs and out the front door. Steve knew that even though Bella has started to build the wall around her heart and cut off all emotions.

He knew she still has a lot of love brewing within her. Her love runs so deep; it's unthinkable for her to simply give it away without care or thought again. He also knows that if she ever opens her heart to someone again and lets them into her world, she knows it's for life.

He knows the most beautiful part to love her is when she lets you in, it's not because she needs you. She stopped needing people the day Wolf broke her heart. When Bella decides to let the next person in it's because she wants you. And that – that is the purest love of all.

Prospect Devin arrived back at the compound. He slammed the door open and walked in. No one had seen him angry before and he was not just angry he was furious.
