Prince sat on his bed and let his thoughts run to the past. Wait, that wasn't his bed. It wasn't even his house to begin with. Not the house that he and his mother had rented the moment they had come to this country. He had asked for it. For then to move and look what had happened.

He had lost his mother after a year. The woman that he was still learning how to love like he had loved his step mother. If only he had given his real mother the love she deserved. If only he had known how to love her the way she was supposed to. But it was too late. Too late to even say that he loved her. To tell her how much he wanted her in his life.

Prince wiped away the lonely tear that slide down his cheek. Lonely as he was he thought as he looked outside. He had no one anymore. No one loved him. No one cared about him. No one wanted him anymore.

Again tears slide down his cheeks and this time he let them do it. It was for the best. After all, it would be the last time he cried. Cried for his past. His mother and the ones who saw him not worth of fighting for. After today, he won't let a tear slip down his cheeks again. He won't, not even one and that was his promise. He would swear by his mother's grave which was still fresh.

One whole week. One week since she left him and he still felt like it was just yesterday. She had promised him. Promised to never leave like his father did but why was he alone again. Why was he leaving with strangers when she should be around him. Telling him how much she loved him. Telling him how she was going to make sure he never lacked anything in the world. Telling him how a life in prison and his birth changed the way she saw things.

He missed her, and yet he couldn't hold her no matter how he wanted to. If only he had spent more time with her instead of selling those flowers to earn money. If only he had stuck with her when she was sick instead of fearing that he would break in front of her. He was supposed to know better than to stay away from her.

He was supposed to tell her how much he loved her each passing day. How much he needed her around but it was too late. Too last to say I love you to her. Too late to tell that he cared. Too late to say I need you around me till I get old. It was too late.

Everything in his life was actually.

Prince stood up and walked to the window. He hadn't stepped out of the room since his mother's burial and he hadn't planned to do that any time soon. He needed to mourn his life first before anything else. Before he began his life once again.

After all, wasn't that what he had been doing since his father, no it's not his father but Chris threw him out?
