"So are you talking about me huh."

Edward's story was interrupted when Leysa suddenly spoke who was already behind them, comfortably leaning against the veranda's entrance.

So the two men turned to her direction.

"Nah! Just sharing to my best friend the greatest love story we have, mi amore!" Edward said kindly to Leysa, who just smiled back at him and walks towards the two men.

"Maybe you talked about how I dumped you, hmm. Just kidding, Eddy! You know I love you ..." Leysa said hanging while looking at Fred who was also looking seriously at her, that's why she gave him a sweet smile and she looked back at Edward.

"As a friend? Hmm, you're hurting my feelings again, mi amore!" Ed added and pretended to be hurtfully sad by Leysa's words. That made Leysa giggles at her friend's childish mind sometimes.

Later, Diana also arrived on the veranda carrying some bottles of beer for her husband and his friend.

The four talked for the whole time, and they even talked about the planned out of town vacation this weekend.

The night was also getting dark when Edward decided to go home.

"Just sleep here, Eddy. I guess Fred and Diana won't mind it," Leysa said when Edward was about to leave the house.

Ed looked at his friend Fred, who had a really bad mood he guessed, so he just smiled and he himself refused Leysa's invitation to him to just stay for the night.

"It's alright, Mi amore ... I have an early meeting tomorrow that's why I need to go home tonight, just see you this weekend." He just said and smiled at Leysa, and bid a goodbye to Diana and when he turned to say goodbye to his friend, he first whispered something to him that made Fred a little bit uneasy,

"I don't know anything ... but I'm on your side, bro."

LEYSA'S POV

Weekend came ... and here I am packing my things for a five days trip to Burgos, Ilocos Norte, with my older sister –Diana, my dearest friend –Eddy, and of course my brother-in-law –Fred and their other friends. I am actually planning not to join with them, but Eddy just forced me to go. Because I am also been very busy these past days. Oh well, I also working somehow, I didn't came home here in the Philippines just to flirt, though.

"B-baby, your face! I thought it was the end of me, I thought you were a bad guy whose planning something bad to this house and to me," I stammered, and my tears flowed again and before I could even wipe them on my own, I felt Fred's soft palms on my cheeks, wiping my tears.

"Shh ... Don't worry, someone unknown here cannot just enter the village without a background check from the guards, so stop crying, Leys. But wait, why are you still here, I thought you went with Diana this morning?" he asked.

"No, I still have some works to finish this morning that's why I didn't went together with them. But I'm leaving now too. How about you brother-in-law? Why are you still here?" I replied and picked up my suitcase and get ready to leave before I catch the night in my way.

Time check: 2 PM, and it's still a long way off. So maybe I'll still be catch by the night in the road.

"And where are you going? Are you going to commute? Let's go together. I'm leaving now too. I just took something here, that's why I went home. Fortunately, my decision to come back was right, because you are still here."

FREDERIK'S POV

Approximately 10 hrs travel time from here to Burgos, Ilocos Norte –so my plan is to just take a plane like Manila- Laoag and just call my friends to pick me up at the Laoag airport and take a car ride going to Burgos. But knowing that Leysa is with me for the whole trip, I will just drive.

Many unexpected things can happen along the way, and I am glad to be with my sister-in-law, I mean it's better than okay that you have someone with you while traveling that long on the road, though.
