Galen came out of the room, rubbing his eyes. "Mommy…"

"Why are you awake?" Lily stretched out her arms and pulled him to her side. Her belly had grown bigger over the days. Although it was inconvenient to hold Galen, she would not let that stop her.

"I thought you left." The child snuggled into his mother's embrace. He did not say much, but his actions were loud and clear.

Lily felt a little guilty. She had indeed neglected her son recently. After being separated for such a long time at such a young age, he must have missed her. However, he was sensible and did not complain.

"No! I'm not leaving you anymore. We'll go home together," she softly said as she rubbed his head.

Galen's eyes lit up when he heard the word “home.” He immediately became more energetic. "Really?! Can we go home now?!"

"Of course." Seeing how cheerful he became made Lily happy as well. "Daddy is back too. We can be together again."

"Okay!" At this moment, Galen acted like a child again, jumping up and down.

Seeing this, Dominic was taken aback before quickly stretching out his hands to protect his displays. "Careful! These are antiques!"

He pulled Galen into his arms and looked at Lily with a frown. "Are you bringing this little thing home?"

‘Look at you! You're reluctant for him to leave! Who was the one that kept telling me to bring Galen away with me?’

"How about he stay here for a few more months?" Lily said half-jokingly.

The vaccine research base was brightly lit at night.

The elevator in the office building slowly ascended and stopped when it reached the top floor. When the elevator door opened, Mike stepped out and quickly walked toward the room at the end of the corridor.

He stopped at the door and raised his hand to knock. It was only after hearing an acknowledgment that he opened the door.

The room was spacious, with a whole side covered in floor-to-ceiling windows. The office overlooked the night view of the entire research base. The decoration here was beautiful as well. It was an extensive suite with a bedroom and an ensuite bathroom. It even had a living room and study.
