It was not far away, and soon they reached Olivia’s apartment building. Lily had been here before and knew the area well, but before getting out of the car, she couldn't help but think, "How about I call Olivia and let her know we're coming?"

Alexander shook his head. “If you make that call, we might not be able to see them.”

“Why?” Lily was taken aback.

“I’d like to know why as well. It’s best if you ask them that later.” Pointing his chin to the upper floors, Alexander opened the car door.

They got out one after another and went upstairs without bringing the bodyguards. Standing before the door to the unit, Lily still could not understand what Alexander meant. She wondered why they could not see the couple if she had called Olivia beforehand.

‘Also, Olivia seldom contacted me lately. When she did so twice, it was through emails. It’s something she has never done before.’

Pressing the doorbell, she heard noises inside, but no one answered. Only when she pressed several times did she hear Olivia’s voice ask, “Who is it?”

Alexander gave Lily a look, and she cleared her throat. “Olivia, it’s me! I’m back, and so I’ve come to see you. Alex and…”

She wanted to tell Olivia that she and Alexander had come, but meeting his eyes, she changed her mind. “Alex and I are both worried about you, so I’ve come to visit. Open the door. I have something to say to you.”

It was silent inside.

“You… Why are you here too?” Olivia looked to her side as she listened to Lily, and her eyes went wide seeing Alexander. She spontaneously tried to close the door.

Responding faster, Lily stepped forward and stopped her from shutting the door. “Olivia, did something happen? Can you tell me what’s wrong? If you have anything to say, spit it out. Don’t dilly-dally. You know how much I hate it!” Lily grew upset.

She could tolerate Olivia throwing tantrums or even yelling at her, but she could not take it when the woman did not express her anger clearly, and she had to guess what it was all about.

Unable to close the door and seeing Lily getting upset, Olivia let go of the door and turned to go inside.
