Alexander lowered his head and whispered, though it sounded more like a warning to her, “Stop moving unless you want to put on a show for him again.”

Lily did not know what to say. His words worked because she did not dare to move anymore. She wondered where he learned this method, as it was difficult for her to deal with him when he acted this way.

Mike noticed all the subtle exchanges between them, but it was not the time to think about that now. He made a fist with one hand and put it to his mouth, coughing as he said, “I know your concerns.
