"Shawn" she called out to him wondering where he had gone off to, that was not like Shawn to come home so late, he was always around whenever she came home. This time it was pretty different, though he had taken his time to tidy the house, he was missing and that was unlike him. Looking around in the bathroom and bedroom for him, Shawn was nowhere to be found, Hannah panicked and tried to reach him but it was impossible to get to him since his line was sending her straight to voicemail.
Though she left a voicemail for him, she was still not relaxed, this was Shawn, she was married to him and was slowly warming up to him. Though she was just a substitute bride and shouldn't get worried about him, Hannah couldn't help but be worried about him, if she waited for him a little and he didn't come home, she was going to start looking for him in the street.
However, she just had one problem since they arrived she had not seen Shawn with anyone since most of the times that she was heading over to work, he was at home. Shawn didn't leave the house, and she doubted that he had any friends she could call to ask about him. The city wasn't like the town they had lived in where you could ask your neighbors about her, there was no one else to ask about her. The only one who could come to him was her. She raked her hand through her hair and was about to try and call Shawn again when he walked into the room.
"Shawn!" She rushed towards him and engulfed him tightly. He was surprised but then he smiled and engulfed her tightly. He was so out that he lost track of time and didn't even realize that dark had covered the night. When he realized that it was already late and he was still out, he rushed back to the house only to find out that she was already back home.
"Where did you go to? You are late" She did not want to sound like that kind of woman but right now she needed to do she can figure out where he went off to she was worried sick about him, and for a moment she thought that something bad had happened to him and that Mike or someone else had called people to take him, but the little she knows about Shawn, he was not the sort of man who will go down without a fight.
She should have seen the place disarranged but the apartment was nearly arranged and that wouldn't be like that if there was a fight in her house.
"Nowhere, I was just around. I lost track of time, it won't happen again you know so let us leave it at that?"
"Are you sure about that?"
"Yes" He shot a smile at her, which should have convinced her that he was alright but she wasn't convinced at all, she had this guy feeling that there was more and something might be troubling him, but she doesn't know what it was. She couldn't ask him about it either since she would not want to talk about her own either.
"Have you had dinner? you were worried about me?"
"Shouldn't I be worried about you? Of course, I should be"
He smiled and pinched the bridge of her nose.
"Of course, you should be worried about me, I mean if you hadn't returned till this time, I would have turned the city upside down you know"
She laughed. "How would you be able to do that? It's a good thing that you came home and thanks for your help yesterday too, my work has finally been noticed. I couldn't be happier"
"So are we celebrating that or what?"
"I don't know about celebration, I just cannot drink on a weekday, I have an early day tomorrow and need to go see what I rest up in my bedroom. The last thing that I want is to be dozing off at work because I didn't get enough sleep"
