When Hannah saw that he had left the house, she blinked her eyes, but she was not going to cry, it hurt her that he left her all alone when she was only trying to have A conversation with him. Hannah did not expect that it would all end up like this but then since he was gone, she left his room and went to the kitchen, she had lost her appetite to eat so she packed up her lunch and went out of the house. it was only at work that she could forget about what had happened between her and Shawn.

His actions today were not something that she was going to forget that easily considering that she had not expected it from him, he hurt her when he ignored her pleases and left as if she did not matter to him.

“Tell me, a penny for your thoughts?”

“No I'm alright” Hannah smiled at her colleague, she just wanted to get back to work and forget about Shawn and everything that happened last night.

However when she picked up a file to dive into work, it was just impossible for her to push him out of his head, she kept thinking about him and having flashes of his face in her head. She was lost and divided, her attention wasn't even on work, she kept looking at her phone just so she could know if you would call her to check on her and if she got to work safely, but he did not call her at all and she scoffed. Somewhere in her heart, she felt the pain but did not think about it too much, perhaps that was what was meant to happen, he never belonged to her anyway and she knew that she was just the fool who assumed that they could be more. Divorce would have been the best option for them but she chose to stick with him and not reason divorcing him since he did not want it. but then, his actions right now, made her wonder if he wanted the divorce. If that was what he wanted she was going to give it to him without hesitation just so they could stop hurting each other this way.

she wondered what he was doing on the rooftop but could not question him since he was still not happy that she was implying that he was not her mate and had refused to go with her.

When she looked up and saw some of our colleagues talking about their husbands, she shook her head and tried to get back to work, she had her problems with Shawn but she would not bother to come to work and talk about it, he does not deserve that and none of them will understand what she was passing through for her to tell anyone. she could not possibly tell them that she was once a substitute bride or that her Shawn took up another identity since he was running from his enemy, it was only going to complicate issues and make them grow farther apart.

“Are you alright?” when should looked up Hannah saw one of her female colleagues, she realised it was the woman from the last time who had approached her about being punctual to work. she shot a smile at her and Hannah did not hesitate to return the gesture, there was no need to be rude she had a long night yesterday and just wanted to put up with a smile just so nobody would realize that she was passing through a lot.

“ yes I am, why is everyone asking me that?” she wondered if it was evident on her face that she was not really all right, something was eating her up deep in her heart and she did not know what it was, a part of how I wanted to call up Shawn and find out where he was so they could talk about last night yet another part of her wanted her to forget about everything and just get mad at him for working out on her when they were trying to have a conversation.
