Ross was on edge and didn't dare to reply.
Leo glanced at the freshly opened bottle of red wine on the table. "Go ahead, drink it."
Ross looked at the bottle, then back at Leo, who was watching him intently. Not wanting to embarrass himself, he blurted out, "And why should I?"
Leo replied coolly, "If you drink it all, maybe your family's club might just stay afloat. If not, let's just say I don't play nice with rivals. The last guy who tried to steal my girl is still behind bars."
Ross: "..."
Anya tilted her head. Who's that?
A few moments later, Ross grabbed the bottle, tilted it back, and started chugging the wine.
The red liquid dribbled down his chin, staining his clothes. Leo watched for a bit, then wrapped his arm around Anya and headed for the door.
"Chad, who ended up in prison?" Anya asked.
Leo gave her cheek a playful pinch. "Take a guess."
Just as they reached the car, Anya suddenly remembered, "Oh, it was your old boss."
Leo chuckled and motioned to the car. "Hop in, we're heading back to the hotel. Gotta settle today's tab, and it's quite a hefty one."
Once inside the car, Anya gave an innocent shrug. "Chad, I honestly had no idea."
Leo: "You didn’t realize he had a thing for you?"
Anya shook her head. "Not a clue."
Leo: "But you know I’m crazy about you, right?"
Anya nodded. "That part I know."
Leo couldn’t stay mad at the sweet, marshmallow-like Anya. "Being a bit clueless has its perks."
Anya: "...Chad, I can hear you, you know."
Leo: "Of course, I said it for you to hear."
Andre lovingly rubbed the back of his wife's head. "If Henry wants it, we’ll make it. We'll figure out a way to fit everything you want."
Mia pouted, her cheeks adorably puffed. "What if I want them all, honey!?"
Andre, cuddling his fluffy cat, replied, "Whatever Mia wants, she gets."
So, Mia ordered the equipment online. Once it arrived, Andre spent his evenings in the yard figuring out how to put it all together, while Mia scouted the perfect spot on the sprawling lawn. "Honey, try here."
Andre, hauling some wooden planks, moved over, only for Mia to shake her head. She skipped to another spot, "What about here?"
Andre obliged, moving again.
Mia shook her head once more.
Finally, next to little Henry’s ginkgo tree, Mia settled on a spot. "Here, honey, this is perfect."
Because of his short legs and young age, Henry waddled slowly, always a few paces behind his parents.
Still, he remained their adorable little shadow, wobbling along to keep up.
