Before going to bed, Mia kissed her husband several times.

She greatly admired her husband, and after this whole thing she more clearly realized that her husband was truly capable of anything.

Andre jokingly warned her, “If you don’t hit the hay soon, don’t plan on sleeping at all tonight. Want to carry on with what we were doing?”

Mia quickly hid under the covers, not even sticking her head out.

The next day, Mia was the belle of the ball in her classroom.

Yesterday's foreign professor gave students a day to brainstorm and discuss ideas with him, and those with papers could have him look over them.

Mia, as the principal, took on a leading role.

She took her paper and, under the watchful eyes of her classmates, went to the professor for revisions.

Leo looked at her, squinting his eyes in uncertainty. "Did Mia finish her paper last night?"

Molly knew her friend like the back of her hand, "She doesn't have the chops for that. Who knows how she managed to have Andre do it for her."

Seeing the surprise on the foreign professor's face, Mia was satisfied as a clam.

Before the final grades were released, Mia could already tell from the professor's expression that she had aced it.

She handed in her paper on the spot.

She then went back to her seat, happy as a clam.

Looking at her two friends who were also swamped with papers, she felt like she was walking on air.

"Are you guys green with envy? Having a husband makes everything a breeze for me. It is what it is." Mia was proud as a peacock.

Molly handed her survey data to Mia, "Mia, we're buddies, help a girl out."

Mia replied, "Now you remember we're friends? Who was it that told my husband yesterday that someone was hitting on me?"

Molly was left speechless and guilty as charged.

Leo also handed his work to Mia, "Mia, I've never thrown you under the bus like that."

Mia said, "But we're researching different things. You're looking into clothing stores and I'm into fruit stores."

Molly wanted a free ride too, but Mia turned her down flat, "My husband already had a hard time helping me. I can't bear to make him work even harder." After all, a woman had to take care of her man.

Later, Molly headed straight to the Byrne family after school to look for Coleen.

Mia passed her foreign professor's course and was on cloud nine. When she got home, she got even more good news.

Her period finally came.

Andre said, "We have to make up for lost time."

"I only live in the present, I don't worry about the future."

Andre was worried last night that if his wife's period didn't come, he would have to take her to the hospital to check if she was pregnant. But it came tonight.

So Andre didn't have to worry anymore.

"Did you pass your paper?"

Mia happily replied, "The professor gave me an A. Molly and Leo wanted you to help them too, but I turned them down. Thinking they can use my husband for free? They're dreaming. If they have the capability, they should find a capable husband themselves."

"Did Molly go to the Byrne family again?"

Mia nodded, "She said she was going to have her mom help her with her paper and won't be back tonight."

There was a plate of fruit on the bed.

There was also a glass of milk on the bedside table, which her husband had just brought over and told her to drink later.

Her life was really "painful."

Molly was scared by Chad's words.

She might as well continue to enjoy her single life.

Coleen had also heard her children's conversation just now. She curiously asked her daughter, "Jade, what kind of person do you want to marry? A business tycoon?"

Molly shook her head, "No, mom. I want to marry a government official."

Chad scoffed, "Your brother is also a civil servant, and his monthly salary can't even afford one of your bags. Moreover, officials have great power and are often tempted. It's not safe."

Molly: "Then I want to be like mom and dad. My husband will be an official in the future, and I'll make money to support the family. In any case, I want to be like you in the future."

Mr. Kendrick held a high position and was upright and honest. The affluent lifestyle of his family was sustained by the continuous profits brought in by Coleen's company, Chade Inc.

All the house bills were footed by Coleen's earnings.

Mr. Kendrick was head over heels for his wife. Even though he didn't rake in as much as she did, he had already handed over his paycheck to her more than twenty years ago.

They could say that he had never remembered his paycheck number in all these years.

Coleen often tossed some cash to the kids, making their lives as cushy as possible.

In the Byrne family, the women bringing home the bacon didn't mean the men were slackers. On the contrary, they were all working together to keep the home fires burning.

Chad: "Dad and I are still rooting for you to be spoiled rotten by your future hubby. Are you already planning to earn your keep and support a man?"
