"Hurry up! Your client must be waiting for you." She tapped my shoulder.
"Okay, okay. I'll get up," I muttered. I was pouting when I turned to her again. She just slapped my butt lightly! "Mama, stop."
She laughed and shook her head. I left her in the living room and headed to my room. I actually don't have anyone to meet with. I just came up with a reason for Atlas because if I don't, his mother will wonder.
Even though I was contemplating, I still ended up dressing up. I wore a black fitted jeans and a three-fourth white shirt, two-inch heels, light lipstick and a splash of perfume. Carrying my clutch bag, I got out of the room.
"Ma, I'll get going. You should rest already," I informed. I kissed her head and smiled.
"I'll just finish what I'm watching. You know that I rarely get sleepy. I'm really getting older," she said while looking at me.
I nodded. "Well, I'll go now."
I walked briskly towards my car. I quickly maneuvered it although I didn't know my destination. In the end, I chose to stop at a bar not so far from South Ridge Village. After parking my car, I entered the Starry Hub.
The place is huge. Noisy just like the other bars. I continued walking and what greeted me was the crowd of people dancing on the dance floor. There were different colors of neon lights. If I didn't know that this was a high end bar, I would think that this is just an average bar in Malate.
"Good evening, Madam," the barista greeted me.
"One vodka, please," I directly said and sat on one of the stools.
"Here's your drink, Madam." The barista placed the cocktail glass that contained vodka in front of me.
I nodded and held the glass. I smelled it first before sipping on it. It was smooth on both my nose and my throat. I drank it straight. Vodka tastes good but I want a stronger drink.
I ordered whiskey. It was bitter so I liked it. Probably because it's as bitter as my emotions. Except for that, it left a hot trail in my throat that seemed to be like a fire burning inside me until I got burned out. It's not far from the reality of my fate as a wife.
I pity myself so much, especially when I roamed my eyes around the place. I admit that I'm a bit tipsy but my sight is very clear. Atlas is walking out from the VIP area. He was holding Trina's hand while assisting the woman. He was observing her every movement and step.
I blinked a few times to suppress my tears from falling but I failed. It cascaded down like an open faucet. It hurts because Atlas could inflict pain to me without him even knowing. He can make me feel how worthless I was to him.
I turned my gaze to my glass. I wiped my tears and tried to calm myself. Everyone loves me but Atlas is the only exception. The man that I love hates me. Life is so unfair for me.
