I kiss him one last time before I unlock the front door of my house.
“Why don’t you stay with me tonight, Samantha?” He doesn’t let go of me yet—he wraps his arms around my waist from behind, presses his body on me, and rubs his nose on my exposed neck.
“It’s Sunday, Phoenix. I have to spend time with Mom. It’s been so long since we have the same day off together,” I explain, and it’s already two in the morning.
He nods and lets go of his arms. I turn to face him, cup his face, and trace the bridge of his nose to the tip of it with my thumb—he looks so beautiful and teasingly hot.
“I’ll spend time with you, I promise. Just not today because I promised Mom that we are going to have some time together today.”
I can see the disappointment on his face, so I kiss his eyes, down to his nose, and press my lips to him. He kisses me back instantly, and I moan when he bites my lower lip.
“Fine, I let you go for now. I’ll pick you up on Monday after school,” he finally agrees, but there’s still a little disappointment in his voice.
“Sure, I’ll stay with you if you want.” I bite my lower lips, still puffing from his bite.
“Stop teasing me, Samantha if you don’t want me to take you here at your front door,” he groans and takes a huge breath.
“Good night, Phoenix!” I let go of his face.
“Night, Princess!”
He walks away to his car, and I wait until he’s gone.
I yelp in surprise after locking the door behind me.
“Mom!” I hold my hand to my chest. “Can’t you give me a little warning? You scare the hell out of me!” I tell her while my heart is still hammering in my chest.
She’s wrapping her arms around her robes.
“Who’s that, boy, Sam?” she asks but more like an interrogation, and she doesn’t look amused.
“Mom, can we talk about him tomorrow, please? It’s two in the morning for questioning,” I say and fake my yawn.
“Thought you’re going to tell me if you’re going out on a date,” she says, sounding disappointed.
“Mom, I’m twenty-one, and we are both busy even to spend breakfast together. Our free time always didn’t seem to match. Tomorrow is our day off, so you can ask me anything you wanna know.” I start climbing upstairs because the longer I stay, the more questions she throws at me.
“I know, and I want you to know that I’m happy that you start dating again, as long as he isn’t like Tyler.”
I stop and turn to look down at Mom. I understand if she uses her motherly tone at me because she saw how devastated I was when I broke up with Tyler. I cried in her arms, on her lap when we were on the couch, and in her bed when I can’t sleep, and I even lost a few pounds.
“Mom, I can assure you that he is far better than Tyler. You will meet him soon, and trust me, he is a good guy.”
“Why don’t you invite him to dinner? I wanna meet the man who makes my baby happy again.”
I roll my eyes. “Fine, I’ll tell him. Let me cook because I don’t want to rush him to ER for food poisoning.”
She laughs. “Fine. Good night, sweetie!”
I walk down to kiss her on her cheek. “Night, Mom. I love you.”
After I tuck myself in bed, I can’t help but giggle when I recall our moments in his bed. We can’t just keep our hands off of each other. I feel sore after a few rounds. He was so caring and attentive—he made sure that he was not hurting me, and the sex was phenomenal.
“Samantha, missed me already? Am I coming back to pick you?” I can hear the excitement of his voice over the phone. I roll my eyes, but my lips are already formed into a wide grin.
“No, but mom is inviting you over to have dinner with us.”
“Really? Your mom wanna meet me?” He sounds surprised.
“Yeah, she was actually awake when I got inside the house. Do you wanna come or not?”
“Of course, princess. I’ll bring wine for us.”
“Well, thanks! Mom will be glad to hear that.” I giggle alone like a love-struck teenager.
“Are you sure I can’t come with you now? I missed you already, Samantha.” I hear him sigh.
“Phoenix, it’s almost three. What are we gonna do? I’m tired, and I need some sleep.” I bite my lip when I remember what we did on the dining table after we ate our dinner. We ended up eating ourselves instead. I feel my face flushed. My inner thighs clench, and I can still feel the soreness down there.
“What I’m gonna do to you, Samantha? Are you sore?” he asks. His voice gets deeper and huskier.
“I am, and I don’t wanna know what are you gonna do to me.” I shrug, but I’m actually excited to know.
“Are you sure you don’t wanna know, princess?” There is a tease in his voice.
I cut him off, “Phoenix, stop right there! You’re not coming, and I need to sleep. I’m still sore. Monday is Monday!”
“I’m already hard, Samantha. I need some help over here.” His voice is getting huskier, and he sounds like he’s gritting his teeth.
“And how can I help you? You’re not coming. That’s final!” I pretend I don’t know what he exactly means.
“Just continue talking to me, princess. You’re driving me crazy, and don’t ask me how can you help me.”
I laugh.
“Not funny!” he snaps.
“The hell not!”
“Princess, stop making fun of me. You will pay for this.” He’s also laughing.
God, he always finds his way to makes me smile.
Phoenix is just so amazing.
I can feel my body alive again, and my heart beats again.
“I’m not making fun of you, Phoenix, and I’m not gonna pay for your own mistakes.” I bite my lip to stop from laughing. Mom is going to knock on my door if she knows I’m still awake.
“It’s your mistake, princess because you call me.”
“I’m just inviting you for dinner. I should’ve just texted you. Remind me not to call you again.” I scowl.
“Whoa, princess! I’m glad you called, and don’t get my idea wrong. I actually like talking to you than texting, Samantha.”
“I thought you mean I shouldn’t call.”
He groans, “Princess, what I mean to say is, just listening to your voice is giving me a hard-on. You know that I’m crazy over you, Samantha. Everything about you is driving me insane. You’re a walking aphrodisiac, but I am dating you just to be my sex partner. I like you so much, and you mean more than just my sex partner to me. You are everything to me.”
I hold my breath. I blink rapidly. I can’t still believe that he likes me and that I mean everything to him even though he told me many times already. I’m still in cloud nine. My brain is still foggy after spending with him.
“You mean so much to me too, Phoenix,” I say slowly.
“I know, Samantha. I know.”
“You’re so cocky.”
“And you love ruining our moments.”
“Just your moment.”
“God, tell me why I’m crazy over you?”
“Because I’m a super cool girlfriend?”
“No. You’re an annoyingly fickle girlfriend!”
“And what are you?”
“I’m the most passionate, hot, captivating, and handsome boyfriend.”
“Oh. My. God! You’re full of hot air, Phoenix! I can’t believe you’re actually my boyfriend!” I tell him in an exaggerated way.
He laughs at me instead. “Tell me what do you like about me, princess?”
I freeze. I don’t know how to answer him because I even love his cockiness, his annoyingness, and bossiness. He’s so real, funny, considerate, and thoughtful. I love everything about him. I’m in love with him. My hand flies to my mouth at the thought of me falling for him. This is not possible! Too soon! But my heart tells me otherwise.
“Princess?”
I blink my eyes. “Phoenix..”
“Thought you sleep on me. You better take a rest now, Samantha. I’ll call you as soon as I wake up, okay, beautiful?”
I swallow hard and clear my throat. “Yeah, sure.”
“Night, beautiful girlfriend.”
“Night, hot tease. Bye.”
I close my eyes and take a huge breath.
I’m already in love with Phoenix before I even realize.
Phoenix sent me a message ten minutes ago that he’s on his way. My bonding day with Mom turns into cleaning and grocery day. I feel exhausted after cooking for dinner.
They might not taste like a menu from the restaurant, but they aren’t bad either.
I wear a light brown V cut mini dress and match it with a golden belt and golden sandals. I apply black eyeliner and gold eyeshadow, blush on, and red rose lipstick.
I wipe my sweating palm to my flat tummy to ease the little crease. I actually do that because I feel nervous to see Phoenix again, and I hope mom is going to like him.
I have to behave and keep my hands off of Phoenix when he arrives. After five minutes of staying calm, I sneak downstairs. Mom is still in her room. The doorbell rings the moment I step my foot on the floor. Good timing.
“Phoenix!” I squeal and throw myself into his arms.
He catches and wraps me into his arms with a chuckle.
Where is the I have to behave and keep my hands off of him goes?
“If you always welcome me like this, I make sure to come here every day, princess.”
I break our warm embrace and look at him—he looks so captivating and handsome, wearing a huge grin on his face. I press my lips into his wide grin.
“You look gorgeous, Samantha,” he murmurs while our lips still pressed together.
I hear a throat clearing from my back. I abruptly break my contact with Phoenix, feeling my cheeks burn.
“Aren’t you supposed to invite our guest inside?” Mom says with an amusing tone.
I clear my throat. “Mom, meet Phoenix. Phoenix, this is my mom, Hannah.”
Phoenix extends his hand for a handshake, and Mom instantly shakes it. “Pleasure to finally meet the woman whom Samantha got her beauty.”
I roll my eyes.
Mom giggles, “Aren’t you a charming, Phoenix. I like your name, very mystical.”
“Samantha didn’t say the same though.”
I roll my eyes again.
“Oh, honey. She likes something more from you other than your unique name.” Mom slaps his arm playfully.
