Shock is an understatement of what had just happened minutes ago. I just shouted another name while we were on the verge of our orgasms. My face heats with an embarrassment. I feel so guilty, and I don’t know what had gotten into me.

He pulled himself on top of me and went to the bathroom, and until now he doesn’t come back. I sit up from our bed, tie my hair in a loose bun, and walk to our adjacent bathroom.

After taking a few huge breaths, my nerves are still all over my system.

“Ty?” I knock on the door.

I can’t hear any movements from inside, neither a sound of water. The door swiftly opens, then our eyes meet—I can see the hint of pain in his eyes.

I swallow the lump blocking my throat. “Um, Ty. Let me explain.” My words are almost inaudible.

I break my gaze when I can’t take his gaze on me anymore—Tyler is scrutinizing me.

He doesn’t say anything, he kisses my forehead instead, and that scares the hell out of me. He slips himself out of the bathroom and walks away from me without a single word.

My eyes start to wet, and I can’t take the guilt anymore, so, I follow him and grab his arm.

“Babe, let’s go back to sleep. We’ll talk about this tomorrow when we are both calm,” he says coolly, but I can feel the tension in his nerves, and the pain in his eyes is more visible this time.

“I’m so sorry, Ty. I don’t know what comes into my mind why I suddenly blurted out his name—”

He cuts in. “Don’t, Sam. Please, don’t.”

I shake to cry, and he pulls me into a hug in one swift move.

“I’m so sorry, Ty. I’m so sorry,” I apologize, shaking my head against his chest, but I know I can’t undo what happened, and I have to deal with my mistakes.

“It’s okay, babe. It’s okay. I know you don’t mean it,” he says while running his fingers through my hair.

After kissing the top of my head, he pulls himself and lifts my chin with his fingers to make me look at him. Tyler wipes my tears away and kisses me on my lips, and I kiss him back with all my heart. I wrap my arms around his neck and press my body against him. He deepens the kiss, wetter, frenzied, and harder.

Slipping his tongue in my mouth, I moan and fist a handful of his hair and kiss him more wildly. When our tongue collides, he grabs my rear, and I can’t help but wrap my legs around his waist. He is already hard, pressing against my bare and wet core.

I don’t even realize he already carries me and lies me back to our bed. Without breaking our kiss, he pushes his fingers in my wet core, my hips arch to press against his moving fingers. I follow his moves, moving rhythmically.

He pulls out his fingers, and I open my eyes to look up at him, our eyes met and all I can see is the lust flooding in those blue orbs. His lips are swollen and red with our intense kiss.

“Do you want a condom?” I ask slowly.

He smiles with all his passions, love, and adoration on me. He moves away from my top for me, to grab a condom in our nightstand.

We haven’t talked about having sex without using a condom, and I don’t open the topic about it too.

He slips down his boxers and moves back on top of me, I slip the latex in one roll. The next thing I know, he is already inside me in one thrust. I bite my lower lip and close my eyes.

“Open your eyes, babe,” he says softly.

I open my eyes and look at him. I run my fingers on his firm back. He moves faster while I’m meeting his thrust.

“I love you, Sam. So much it hurts,” he whispers with his husky voice.

I kiss his lips and respond while our lips sealed together. “I love you too, Ty.”

“Babe, hurry up. We still have groceries to buy.” I’m still in the middle of choosing between the two books on my hand. I can’t decide which book to choose between romance or psycho-thriller.

“Ty, just give me five minutes. You can check something that might pique your interest. Try a mystery thriller, you know.”

I know him well, he’s not interested in fiction or any book at all unless it has something to do with his work. That’s our one big difference.

“Babe, you know me that I don’t read that crap.”

My head snaps to face him, but I keep my words to myself because we haven’t talked about what happened last night.

“I’m sorry,” he mutters.

He slips his hands in his jean pockets and doesn’t say a word again. I can see he’s already losing his patience as he presses his lips into a thin line.

I grab the psycho-thriller book. “Got one, Ty!”

We drive to the grocery store and take one pushcart to the toiletries lane. He starts picking up the things we need because he knows what brand I used, so I don’t have to tell him myself because he’s very specific on that.

“Babe, do we need another box?” he asks while placing a large pack of my sanitary pad.

I grin at him and nod.

“What? Can’t you even say yes?” He grins back, teasing me.

I cup his face when I notice no one is coming in our way and press my lips against him. I can feel him smiling, and then I suck his lower lip and bite it.

A clearing of a throat breaks us apart. I compose myself and murmur an apology.

“Sorry, my girlfriend is just so irresistible,” Tyler says to that person at my back.

“I know, she is.” I freeze at that voice.

My heart beats faster when I turn to face him.

“Hawk?” I say and it almost comes out as a whisper.

I feel the color drain from my face, and I’m so embarrassed. I don’t know why, but it’s like I am betraying his brother even though I am not.

I feel Tyler’s hand gripping my waist.

“Do you know each other?” Tyler asks, raising his brow and presses himself on my side.

I swallow hard.

“Of course, I’m Hawk Williams, and you must be Tyler Payne.” Hawk extends his hand.
