"Who says I can't?"Jeremy said,as he followed me towards the kitchen. He stood beside me at the island as I cleared away after the sandwich I had made."Doing the job myself isn't as satisfying-but I can have it when i want it."
"No you can't."I replied, folding my arms across my chest."I don't recall that being the agreement we made."I seriously hope the smell of his jacket lingers on my skin for awhile. I've never smelled anything like him.
"Part of that Agreement was that you wouldn't get in my way-But that's exactly what you're doing. You're in my fucking Head!!"He stared at me intensely, with a hand braced either side of my body.
I didn't know what to say back but thankfully enough we were interrupted so I didn't have to. Ollie and Natasha walked into the kitchen and looked between us.
"Did we interrupted something?"Ollie asked, and just got a shake of the head from me."Alright,so I had the idea that maybe all four of us could go up to the Cabin for New Year's? Natasha is already in."
"No!"Jeremy answered,bracing his hands on his hips."I can't go,I've too much on."
"Come on,Man! Two days max."Ollie looked in my direction."What do you say,Vanessa? A couple of days away. You're surely in!"
Jeremy released a sigh,of frustration. "Don't get my wife involved,Ollie. She won't be going either."
Really-Jeremy Austin thinks that he can make that decision for me? He doesn't even care if I want to go. To be quite honest,I'm not in the mood for a weekend away and listening to Ollie and Natasha screw the entire time. But Jeremy basically told me that I wasn't going so now I'm going to go on this little trip just to spite him.
"Actually,I'm in! I could use a break away."I looked at Jeremy and smirked like I had won."My Husband can't say no to me,so he's coming too."Jeremy glared at me,but kept his mouth shut in frustration.
"I can't wait!"Natasha grinned, with excitement and turning her head to look at Ollie. He winked at her,not being subtle at all."I should probably get going. Come with me to get changed,Ness."
"Um-Sure."I glanced at the expression on Jeremy's face before I followed after Natasha. He wasn't happy with me-that much was obvious.
Later that evening I was standing in my room getting ready for our dinner, when a knock came my door. Since Jeremy and I are the only ones that are home,I assume that it's him.
"Um-Come in."I shouted, and looked back into the mirror as I attempted the clasp on my necklace. I glanced up when the door opened and Jeremy was standing in the frame.
Dressed up in his designer suit with his hair styled perfectly,he looked just like he always did. HANDSOME!! He has a perfect face and a perfect body, literally anything would look good on him.
"I have to go pick something up before dinner."Jeremy looked down at the expensive silver watch on his wrist."I'll be back to pick you up in thirty."
"Um,Okay! I'll be waiting."I looked back into the mirror. Thankfully my make up and hair was already done, all I had to do was to get dressed.
"Is this what you're wearing? He asked, looking in the direction of the closet door that had my dress hanging on it. I nodded my head in reply."At least it's suitable this time."
Well I'm glad I got his approval."I picked this one out myself."I placed the necklace down on the dresser in frustration."Damn that thing."
Jeremy walked towards me and picked it up in his hands."Turn around."He demanded and I did as he asked. Jeremy moved my wavey hair off my shoulders and placed the necklace around my neck. Just having the light touch of his skin against mine was sending a tingle through me. The clasp was done and he looked at me in the mirror.
What is he thinking?
