"So, you vandalized the office with Lisa?" Brooke asks as she steps inside the office. She looks very happy and excited to finally see my mate. This makes my mate confused but she nods anyway.
I couldn't help but stare at her as she talks to Brooke. It's like a dream. I am finding it hard to believe that I've finally met her. I and my wolf are happy and we want to claim her but I think I have to wait to do that.
She is a human and she is not aware of our ways or about our existence. I couldn't help but wonder how she would react to us. I wanted to sweep her in my arms and kiss her beautiful lips right away when I saw her.
She is plain but beautiful. Her hazel eyes captivate me the most. I couldn't wait to be with her. Feeling my eyes, she looks at me for a fraction of the moment. As soon as she finds me staring at her, her cheeks heat up and she looks away.
It makes me smirk. She is shy but the way she talks, I know that she could be smart and diplomatic. Just the right type me and my pack needs.
"So, am I going to be suspended or something?" She asks hesitantly. Brooke looks at me before she giggles.
"Well, that's up to him. It's his office," Brooke says, pointing at me. My mate looks at me nervously. Her doe-like eyes hold me captive. I just want to sweep her in my arms and disappear to a place where we could be alone.
I want to talk to her about so many things. I want to know so many things about her. It would have been easier if she were a werewolf but I am not complaining. I am grateful to have finally found her. She is perfect. She doesn't know the fate she has saved me and my pack from.
"Well..." I look at Brooke who's smiling at me widely before I look back at my mate, "You messed this place up. You should stay back after college and help us get this place in order," She breathes in relief after hearing my words.
"That's it?" She asks, looking at me innocently.
"Why? Are you not happy with this?" Brooke teases and my mate turns completely red. My body reacts to her response very well but I do not show it.
"No... no, I meant that you are not going to suspend me, are you? I will help you get this place in order since I messed it up," She speaks gently. I nod and Brooke gives me a suggestive look which I deliberately ignore.
"So... do I need to start today?" She asks, shuffling on her feet.
"Do you have any more classes today?" I ask before she checks her phone and nods.
I can't wait till her classes are over. She could be with me then and I could talk to her more privately. I want to tell her so many things but I'd have to take things slowly with her.
The mating pull is strong for me because I am a hybrid. I wonder it's this strong for her as a human. It's surprising to know that I got her as a mate even after being a hybrid. She must be very strong and have some special qualities to compliment mine.
I wonder how my pack would react to this. I haven't told my parents about finding her yet. They know that there's a possibility of her being here. I am not sure how they will react to my mate being a human.
I don't know how the council will react to this. This is somewhat worrying me but I couldn't think about this right now. All I do is stare at the watch and wait for her classes to be over. Brooke leaves for pack and I am left alone.
I am busy with some files when she comes into my office again. She still has the look of uncertainty on her face as she looks around at the mess.
She is chewing on her lower lips as she looks around. I want to go to her and capture those lips. The mating pull is already playing with my cognitive abilities. I am afraid it won't be long when I'd give in to the pull and do something to her.
"Where do we start from, Cybele?" I ask her instead while I try to concentrate on the present.
