-HER-
I want to know everything this instant but we have classes. I grind my teeth as we head to the class.
"I'll tell you everything one da-"
"No, I want to know today," I couldn't help but blurt out. She sighs beside me before she promises, "Soon, Cybele, soon,"
"Please, are you free this evening?" I can hear the desperation dripping off my own voice. I want to be out of the dark otherwise I am afraid that I'd turn blind soon.
"Cybele, I told you I am moving in with Sid so I'd be busy for a couple of days," She says apologetically and I find myself trying hard to stop a frown climbing on my face.
"Okay," Is all I say to her before the classes start. The frustration inside me is slowly building inside me. I don't know how long I'd be able to contain it.
If Lisa is too busy to tell me anything then I must reach out to Brooke. I talk to her now and then. Though we don't talk about anything serious. We just talk about general stuff.
Throughout the whole class, I plan how and what I am going to text her tonight. She was the first one to tell me things. I hope if I press her more, she'd tell me more.
As soon as the class ends, I am reminded of the dreadful task that I need to get done. I need to talk to Holly about the project. I wait and watch her talk with her friends.
After some moments of studying them, I approach her carefully.
"Holly," I try to sound casual. She shouldn't know how nervous I am to talk to her. A mean look instantly climbs on her face as soon as she sees me.
"What?" She spits meanly. I control my temper as I tell her next, "I have chosen my topics. I will be working on Trade and Ethics while you can work on Religious and Social influences. How does that sound to you?"
I maintain the tone of my voice as well as my composure. Her friends are watching me warily and judging me rudely. I don't even spare a glance in their direction. My eyes are trained on her face solely.
She takes a moment to sweep her eyes from my head to toe. I could almost see the wheels spinning in her head. The malice in her eyes and that sly smile is just too much to not notice. She is purely evil and it shows. She doesn't hide it. In fact, I doubt if it could be hidden at all.
"Sure," She shrugs before she turns to her friends and continues to talk to them as if she wasn't talking to me at all. I walk away without saying much to her.
"I really wanted to know," I tell Lisa as we walk out of the class together. There's an incomprehensible look decorating her face.
"You'll know soon, Cybele. Just be patient," Lisa assures me. She bids me goodbye and disappears as soon as we reach the ground floor. Without thinking much, I head out of the building too.
"Cybele," A familiar voice croaks of nowhere.
"Oh my god, you gave me a fright!" I gasp. He is leaning by the exit door. His black eyes drink in my appearance while I try to calm down my heart.
"I am sorry. I just wanted to see you," He whispers as he takes a step closer to me. A frown climbs on his face instantly as I take a step back unconsciously.
"You're definitely mad," He comments instantly. I press my lips in a thin line and glare at him. This seems to have made his determination stronger. The way he takes a step closer to me and the way he towers over me, I know that either way I'd have to go with him.
I clench my jaw and find myself stepping out of the building with him hot on my tail. I could feel him breathing down my neck. The air is charged with tension. I just couldn't breathe it.
I walk towards his car as soon as I spot it. He opens the door for me before he gets in himself. There's silence in the car as soon as we are both seated.
"Why can't you just leave me alone?" I couldn't help but ask him, looking out of the window.
"Because I have already left you alone for more time than I should have," He almost growls before starting the engine. His words make me flush for a moment before I glare at him. His jaw is set and his eyes are on the road but I know that he has his attention on me.
"You wouldn't even tell me anything," I grit out. The anger and frustration that I had been trying to bury deep inside me are finding its way to the surface through my words. I am afraid that they might end up causing some damage that'd be hard to repair later.
"I will tell you everything if you talk to me more," He says. I don't miss the edge to his voice. He seems to be mad too.
"We are talking. You can tell me now," I cross my arms on my chest and try to sound sterner.
"Not here, not like this," He shakes his head.
"That's why I don't like you,"
