After lunch, the girls take a nap. Jake isn't back yet and so are Brooke and Davis. Although, I don't have to spend the afternoon alone. I talk to Erika and some of the pack members from the camp visit me as well.
Brooke and Davis show up around the evening. Brooke smiles at me before both of them go straight upstairs. Jake arrives shortly after.
"Let's go," He says, pushing me in confusion.
"Where?"
"To meet alpha and luna," He tells me and I instantly feel anxious, "It'd be alright, Cybele. They're like my family," With that, he takes me to the identical house just a couple hundred meters away from Jake's house.
After we step on the doorstep, Jake knocks briefly before he steps inside. I follow him inside hesitantly.
"Oh, Jake! You're here! Where's she?" A feminine voice asks. Jake steps away to reveal a beautiful redhead woman. She instantly smiles at me before approaching me.
"Hello, I am Beatrice," She introduces herself. "I'm Cybele," I tell her before she gives me a welcoming hug.
"Nice to meet you, Cybele," She chirps before leading us to the living room. She is very easy-going and... a bit talkative. Soon, a man joins us in the living room. He's the Alpha of the pack. Beatrice introduces him to me.
"Nice to meet you, Cybele. Looking forward to you joining my pack. We'd be very happy to have you as our Beta female," Alpha Miles says cheerfully as he shakes my hand. I notice Jake looking at me from the corner of his eyes.
The Alpha couple turns out extremely nice and accepting as the rest of the pack. I don't remember how long we were at their house but we definitely had a lot of discussions. In the end, Alpha Miles told us to stay for dinner.
At dinner, their son Bertrand joins us as well. He's the miniature version of his father but has his mother's red hair and green eyes. He's in his early teens and is as nice as his parents. I reckon that he'd be the next Alpha of the pack.
"It's nice to have another human as in the pack," The Luna remarks over the dinner. I don't miss how the alpha and the Luna keep referring me as if I am already part of their pack. I couldn't help but feel like it's somewhat equivalent to marking territory.
Lisa has informed me that the wolves take packmates very seriously. Being possessive and territorial was in their nature, whether regarding things or people of their community. Although, I don't really mind it much. At the end of the day, I am happy that they have accepted me.
"Two humans actually," Jake informs the Luna, "Remember Sidonio? Carter family's oldest son,"
"Ah yes! James' son. Did he find a human mate too?" The Alpha inquires.
"Where are you going?" I ask him instead.
"I am going for a run," He whispers, running his nose along my jawline. I shiver before speaking, "Can I meet your wolf again?" He pecks my lips in response before we get out of the house silently.
We are both excited to see each other when he phases into his wolf. He rubs himself all over me right away before finally going off on a run with me on his back. We stop several times in the woods to walk side by side or just to play.
"Wanna play fetch?" I offer him and he growls at me. I giggle before picking up a log and throwing it at a distance, "Go get it," my laugh echoes throughout the woods. He looks at me coldly before walking away.
I follow him and try to catch his fluffy tail but he again warns me with a low growl. I don't know why but I feel like pushing his buttons and see how far he can go.
"Come on, good boi. Let's play fetch?" I offer him again while trying to catch his tail. He gives me another growl. I concentrate on his tail before finally catching it.
Before I could reach, he turns around and pins me to the ground. His heavy paws are holding me in place while he transforms back into his human form and looks down at me heatedly, "Good boi, huh?" He grits. I don't miss the darkness in his tone. It matches his eyes.
I take a sharp breath before I try to move but he presses his whole body down against. Suddenly, it dawns upon me that he's completely naked and we are absolutely alone. I instantly flush before his eyes darken even more. The next thing I know is his lips against mine.
