Chapter 615

Isaac had a “you’re overreacting” look on his face, and after saying that, he closed the door and left.

Brittany felt irritated, rubbed her hair, and painfully got out of bed.

If she had known that she would be brought back by him, she would not have fallen asleep the previous night.

Walking into the bathroom, Brittany found all new toiletries. Even the body wash was her most commonly used style.

She brushed her teeth and walked out of the guest room.

Downstairs.

There was breakfast on the table. There was a sandwich, a plate of pasta, and a bottle of milk.

Isaac came out of the kitchen with another plate of pasta, saw her standing at the staircase, and his lips moved slightly, “Time for grub.” Brittany had stayed at Radiant Residences before, and the layout there was almost identical to what it was five years ago.

She felt a bit dazed for a moment, as if they had never been apart for five years.

That realization made Brittany feel threatened. She shook off the thought and hurriedly went downstairs.

Walking to the table, she picked up the milk and took a sip before asking, “Where’s Emily?”

“She’s at the hospital looking after Daniel.”

Isaac put down his cutlery and sat next to her, “I’ve already had a word with Olivia. She won’t bother you again.”

Olivia was just a fool who bullied others by using her status..

Brittany paused her drinking. A little bit of milk was smudged on her lips, and she said, “Got it.”

“About what happened at the wedding…” Isaac looked at her indifferent face and said, “I didn’t orchestrate it. I had no idea you were framed until I went to that room.”

That night, he did take advantage of the situation.

But he never intended to frame Brittany initially.

Brittany’s fingers tightened slightly on the milk bottle. Obviously, she didn’t quite believe it. She said, “If that’s true, then how did you manage to find the exact room I was in?”

In the end, Brittany still had her doubts about Isaac.

Isaac served her a piece of chicken and said, “I’ll get to the bottom of this.”

Brittany looked at the piece of chicken on her plate and her eyebrows were twitching.

Isaac then said, “I made this myself. Give it a try.”

Brittany didn’t hold back. She took a bite, and it tasted great.

She had to admit that, in some ways, Isaac was really good at what he did. Anything he decided to make almost always tasted great.

Brittany ate several pieces before she stopped.

Isaac was very satisfied with that, “If you like it, I’ll make it more often for you.”

“No need.”

Brittany shook her head lightly, “There is no future between us.”

Isaac’s face changed immediately, “Bri, you know there is no future between you and William.”

“That doesn’t mean there’s a future between us.”

Brittany put down her cutlery and looked straight at Isaac, “I told you before, as long as Kyle is alive, I would give you a chance to explain. But…”

What Brittany wanted was never an explanation.

“Regardless of what happened five years ago, the pain I endured and the tears I shed were all real.”

Isaac suddenly felt drained, he opened his mouth and said, “Bri, I handled things poorly in the past, if given another chance, I wouldn’t make the same mistake again.”
