Chapter 616

Brittany was momentarily stunned, then she headed upstairs.

The closet in the guest room was crammed full of new clothes for all seasons and occasions, all in her size. Those must have been prepared by either Emily or Nathan.

Isaac was swamped with work; he probably didn’t have time to arrange all of that.

Brittany changed into a black and white ensemble, put on some light makeup, and pulled her hair back, letting a few loose strands hang loose for a touch of casual laziness.

When she went downstairs, Isaac had already changed into a royal blue suit, looking tall and handsome, like a deity.

“Let’s go.”

The two of them left Radiant Residences one after the other.

Isaac’s car was parked in the yard, and Brittany walked over to it, about to open the door.

“Bro Isaac, I heard Daniel was hospitalized. Is he okay?”

At the gate, Joie was wearing a long dress, looking obedient and gentle. The soft look in her eyes froze when she saw Brittany.

“Brittany, what are you doing here?”

How shameless could she be?

Kicked out by the Dillion family, yet she still wanted to hang around Bro Isaac?

Isaac’s eyes narrowed slightly. He clearly hadn’t expected Joie to be there. He opened the passenger door and said to Brittany, “Get in.”

Brittany muttered under her breath and got into the backseat.

What bad luck to have to see Joie first thing in the morning.

Joie walked over to Isaac, her eyes full of concern, “Bro Isaac, are you okay? Didn’t you get a good rest last night?”.

She was scrutinizing Isaac, afraid to detect any hint of his intimacy with Brittany, and even more afraid of Brittany taking advantage of the situation to get close to Isaac!

Isaac closed the passenger door, “What are you doing here?”

“Daniel’s in the hospital. I’m worried about him.”

“Then you should go to the hospital.” Isaac’s patience with Joie was evidently running out. He walked over to the driver’s seat, started the car, and left without a second glance at Joie.

Joie was left behind, stomping her foot in dissatisfaction.

She didn’t really care about Daniel. She just wanted to show off her presence in front of Isaac.

But who would have thought that Brittany would beat her to it?

Inside the car, Brittany rolled down the window, her good mood gone in an instant.

Isaac took out a cup of lemon water from the drawer and handed it to Brittany, “Have some lemon water.”

“No, thanks.”

Brittany frowned; she wasn’t pregnant. Why would she have needed to drink lemon water?

Isaac paused with the cup in hand, and after a while, he put it back in the drawer. “There’s nothing going on between Joie and me. Don’t overthink it.”

“Mr. Salter, you’re not getting any younger. It’s normal to have a new life.” Brittany frowned.

What did his personal life have to do with her? Why did he need to explain it to her?

Isaac laughed. His laughter was really pleasing. It made her heart race.

Brittany looked out the window, not wanting to engage in further conversation.

Upon arriving at the Dustin Group, Brittany got out of the car.

“Hold on.”

Isaac called out to her, taking a document from the drawer, “I have high hopes for this project. If the Dustin Group is interested in edllaboration, feel free to contact me anytime.”
