For the next while, Brittany’s plate would be full. Not only did she need to look after Daniel, but also had to deal with countless dinner meetings. 

The pressure from the Industrial and Commercial Bureau was through the roof, and the coppers were also breathing down their necks. 

Word was that they had found a witness, and if the Dustin Group got sued, all the blood, sweat, and tears of these years would be down the drain. 

At yet another dinner meeting, Brittany got totally hammered again and needed her assistant to hold her up as they left the restaurant.

The Dustin Group made it through the crisis, but Brittany had to stay in the hospital for nearly a week before she could get discharged. 

Once she was out, Isaac immediately took her back to the Radiant Residences, saying, “As a condition for helping you, you need to move back here.” 

“The kid needs a complete family. He knows better than anyone that we don’t get along.” 

Isaac found Brittany’s weakness, making it impossible for her to refuse.
