“There’s an abandoned chemical plant on the west side of the city. I’ve looked into the usage of the land, but the paperwork is a bit of a headache.” Wesley frowned. “Besides, buying that land would cost a fortune, and I can’t afford to throw that much money around.” 

So he thought of Isaac, hoping for a joint venture. 

“I’d like to see the files.” 

Wesley had come prepared and handed over the documents. As Isaac was going through them, he pulled out his phone and texted Viola. 

[Come over with your daughter tonight. Let’s have dinner together.] 

Viola shot back at light speed, [No way.] 

Why should she bother when she had a new partner and was still tangled up with her ex? 

[If you refuse, I’m going to find Bruce right now.] 

Viola wrote, [Fine.] 

Wesley could almost picture her reluctant but resigned expression, and a smirk flickered in his eyes. 

That smirk made Isaac uneasy. “You’re looking way too crafty.” 

Wesley put down his phone. “Are you done?” 

“This project does look promising, but the initial investment would be billions.” Isaac thought it was too much to dump in at the outset. If there was no profit, they’d end up losing money. 

“Just chill; if we team up on this, there won’t be any issues with the land.” 

They’d partnered up plenty of times, and Wesley didn’t expect answe. 

“I’ll look into this project. If it’s profitable, we can continue to talk.” 

Wesley knew Isaac had ambitions. Who wouldn’t be interested in such a big development opportunity? 

“Shona Bennett’s getting hitched; aren’t you going?” 

News of Shona’s wedding had spread, and Isaac had already received an invitation, 

“I’ll attend.” 

“Let’s go together.” 

Isaac had another meeting, so he got up and left.

Brittany owed him a favor, so she agreed. [Understood.]

Brittany was surprised to see William. “William, what brings you here?”
