Selene
He probably wishes my life revolved around him but in reality, I have a career to keep going on the side of dealing with his actions from last night.
When I pushed him away and stormed outside, I felt even shittier when he didn't bother to follow me. he was probably already done with me and moving onto his next girl because nick had the right to do that.
It didn't bother me. actually, no that's a fucking lie it did bother me but after realising I had shit to do, I pushed it away from my mind and focused on the busy week. First day of the launch was today and me and the team were all lounging around in the office.
All wearing are comfy clothes crowding around the tech guys as they did their magic and launched the collection on every single platform you could think of. Jake has invested a massive budget into the marketing.
Molly brought in a batch of fresh coffee and breakfast. It was 9 in the morning and we had all been here since last night. Call us gross but none of us could risk going home.
"5000 on live right now" I said holding my phone up. Every person who was a member were waiting on this launch. Some were awake 4am their time just to get first dibs. I'm not going to say we were a massive deal, but we had created a big name for ourselves.
I watched callum lean back in his chair his fingers on the table dancing around.
"the fuck you are doing taking a break "Jake said watching him too.
Its been a long night for callum here but now is not the time to take a breather.
"were live" he whispers.
I rolled my eyes, yeah, I know that dipshit.
"no boss, I mean were live everywhere" he repeated looking over at us. It took us about 3 seconds for it to click in our brains.
"oh shit" I said watching the numbers change with everyone on our website.
Nobody could look away. the admin guys were busy typing away and we had the part time tech wizards here making sure there was no problems with the website.
I slowly sipped from my coffee watching the numbers increase. This was our biggest launch yet and it showed. Being one of the main designers of this launch I felt a range of different emotions.
Some people went away to their desks, to eat and chill as we waited.
Exactly 22 minutes passed before it happened.
"that's it" callum said bringing us all back. It was actually funny the way me and Jake zoomed in on the screen bringing our heads closer.
We looked at each other before I screamed, wrapping my hands around his shoulders.
"holy shit Selly, we did it" he mumbled into my hair as we jumped together. Years of hard work and this was the moments we lived for.
We finally broke away and I kissed callum and others on their cheeks. Honestly, I didn't know what I would do without these guys.
"okay as much as I'm fucking living for this. Weve got loads of angry customers on our hands" Taylor said scrolling through one of the tablets. I leant over her shoulder and saw comments from pissed off people who obviously didn't process their orders in time.
Everyone ran to their desks to get to work.
"send out posts everywhere of restock dates" Jake shouted over everyone as he had his hone pressed to his ear.
I decoded to get back to my live and walk to my office to give an announcement.
As I was talking to them on my broadcast, I couldn't help but smile as I saw a comment from my dad.
Proud of you princess x
It was simple but it had a lasting effect on me. knowing that my dad was proud of my accomplishments was always what I strived for in life. I let him down a lot when I was younger.
My mood was instantly lifted and that made the process of today go a lot smoother.
After a long day and a well-deserved drink to celebrate with the team I made my way back home. Tired and drained from today's events I finally would be able to catch some well-deserved sleep.
I made it up to my bathroom and started a bath and put my favourite scented salts inside. As you can tell I'm setting a mood here.
As I soaked in the bath I scrolled through many posts, reactions to the launch and was filled with pride and love as people kept telling me how good it was.
Some comments were negative but that's normal. Haters will always be haters.
I finished off in the bath and got changed into a big comfy sweater that reached my thighs. I made myself a hot chocolate and sat down on my sofa with a blanket covering my legs.
I was in la la land.
La la land was short lived however when someone was ringing my doorbell at 10pm.
Just one night of peace. Is that too much to ask.
I kicked the blanket off my legs and walking over to the door. I bend down and peaked through the window to check who it was.
Great, I thought to myself.
I unclicked the door and opened it slightly. Maybe he would get the idea that I didn't want to see him.
When I opened the door, I could clearly see he had the intention of coming inside.
He looked like he just got out from a shower with the way his jet-black hair was slightly damp. It wasn't raining so that's how I came to that conclusion.
I moved my eyes further down and noticed he held a large dominos pizza in his hand and a bag of something else in his other.
"I didn't order pizza" I said fiving him a blank look.
"I know but I did" he replied smiling slightly.
I made a move to close the door, but he moved fast and put his foot between, stopping me from closing it.
"that's not very nice" he said looking back up at me.
Nice wasn't really what I was going for if he hadn't noticed.
"look, I owe you an apology can you please let me inside "
I didn't move a single muscle. He sighed dramatically. "fine." I took that at his signal of him giving up, so I continued to close the door, but he stopped me once again by this time putting his hand on the door.
"I thought you were leaving?" I said crossing my arms. It was chilly out, but I didn't want him coming inside.
He knows the pizza is tempting, I am very close to giving in.
"I never said that" he replied back.
Sure, as hell seemed that way.
"look nick, pizza isn't going to solve anything I've had a really long day and I'm tired. Enjoy your pizza" this time I made a real push to close the door and this time he let me.
I shut the door in his face.
Probably not my best moment but I'm also mad he didn't even acknowledge my launch not then and not before.
Call me salty but I'm just not here for his half-ass attempts.
