I must have really hit my head in that crash because there is no way in hell that I am sitting here staring at my father.

He seemed so real.

When I felt his fingers underneath my jaw, I couldn't even control the tears that left my eyes.

"Hello princess. What have you gotten yourself into huh?" he asks me to kneel down in front of me. I cringed when I realised that it was wet because of the rain.

Nick stepped back and gave us both some space to which dad was grateful for. I glanced at my mom and noticed how much this affected her. I wanted him to go to mom I was okay I could manage myself.

"are you really here dad, please tell me I'm not dreaming" I said moving my hand to touch his shoulder. He still had uniform on, so I guessed he literally just got here.

He smiled. "would be a pretty good dream" he joked bringing a smile to both mine and moms' lips. We would always say how much we missed dads' unique sense of humour.

"come on let's get you home princess" he said standing up and wrapping his arm around my waist. When we passed nick and James, I mouthed thank you. This caught the attention of dad unfortunately.

"don't you dare" I said to dad already knowing he would try and embarrass me.

He sealed his lips shut and walked us towards a car. Once I was sat in the back I watched with a smile as dad grabbed mum and brought her close. Immediately bringing her into his chest as she cried.

Media was out today, and they had taken a lot of pictures of the scene.

A soft knock on my window moved my gaze away from them. Nick stood outside my door holding my phone in his hand. I rolled down the window and looked at him.

"thought you might need this" he said handing over the device that luckily didn't have a scratch on it since I had a pretty sturdy case.

"thank you. Not just for this but for coming you didn't need to but I'm glad you did" I said smiling over at him. Seeing him and James rush to the scene was something I didn't expect.

I even saw how nick went over to Hannah to check if she was okay.

"you'll have to thank your followers for that. We were doing a livestream when they told us about what happened" he said surprising me.

Sometimes you do benefit off these live streams.

"I hope you feel better soon Selene, enjoy your family time I think you've been through enough shit this month" I knew he was referring to the other incident.

I waved him goodbye as he got out of the rain and into James's car.

When I turned back to the car, I had noticed both my mum and dad staring at me with a smile on their faces.

I groaned as I sat back in the chair. My head was throbbing and as much as I wanted to talk to dad about so many things, I knew I needed to rest.

I soon felt myself being lifted out of the car. We had made it to mum's place. Lord knows what mum said to dad, but I guess she filled him in slightly.

"I'm sorry darling, I just didn't want to worry you. Its not even that serious "mum tried to explain to dad as we all sat in the lounge with coffee's.

Dad rubbed his forehead "you always hated secrets. Know you keep this from me, I don't really care if it was just a stomach ache I want to know if my wife is suffering" I knew dads temper was rising.

"I'm sorry" mum said bowing her head. I knew we should have told him, but I needed to respect mum's decision.

I could see why she wouldn't tell him though. Dad would always drop everything for us for his family, but he also needed to do what he loved and that was to fight for his country.

I left the room when dad knelt in front of mum. They needed time to work things out as a couple.

I used this time to quickly shower and go on live to thank everyone for all the kind messages I had received.

Once I was done with that I decided to get on Netflix and relax for the rest of the night. Tomorrow would be an exciting one and I couldn't wait to talk to dad about a lot of things.

The next morning, I had woken up with only a small headache, but I was also very hungry. I needed to eat something to since I didn't actually have anything after the crash last night.

I grabbed a jumper from moms' wardrobe and ran down the stairs. I could hear the news playing on the television. Mum sat with a coffee as dad cooked her breakfast.

"I stood beside dad and placed a kiss on his cheek. "morning dad, what you are cooking" I said looking over his shoulder to see. I was happy to see the variety of English breakfast food.

He picked up a piece of bacon and fed it to me just like old times when we used to eat together. That was when mum used to work early shifts that was our bonding time.

"eat up, were going to chat with Andy and get this incident handled alright" he said finally placing the plate of food in front of me.

Great more talking with the police just what I needed but I wasn't going to argue with my father.

When we arrived at the police station we were instantly met with Andy. He hugged dad and bend down slightly to hug my smaller frame.

"we can't risk anymore incidents William, the attack at the event was suspicious but not something we were increasingly worried about but this. Well this is different.

Don't I know it. The crazy man decided to beeline for my car

Dad agreed with Andy suggesting that I get security. I managed to come to an agreement to have security at my house and also a security man that would watch over me.

I wasn't too bothered I just didn't want to die anytime soon.

"you seem much better today angel" Andy said as we sat in a café not far from the station as we waited for this security guy.

Dad retuned to the table. "that's because her favourite man has returned back to base isn't that right" he says leaning towards me.

Andy only smiled at the two of us. "well you might have to get in line will we've got competition" Andy said motioning to me as I smiled down at my phone.

"that nick guy?" dad questioned. That nick guy is he really calling him that. I put my phone down glaring at them both.

"I was actually laughing at a video on Facebook don't be making stories Andy" I warned him. Ofcourse he would be trying to get me into trouble.

I wasn't going to tell them about the message I got on Instagram from him asking if I felt better. Which spun into me smiling as I scrolled through his posts and watching videos of him.

No way will they find out about that.

"I want weekly reports. Any strange events and you contact me immediately" dad said shaking hands with kate. Yes, I'm as surprised as you when I found out my security guy is in fact a woman.

Now I'm not saying it had to be a guy I actually feel more comfortable with a woman watching over me.

Dad knew not to assume anything. He knew that woman was as capable as handling these situations, so he wasn't worried.

"I live in the apartments 5 minutes away so any weird noises at night you call me okay," Kate said as pulled up into my apartment.

She drove me home since dad and Andy were off to meet with some old colleagues.

"thanks Kate. You're welcome here anytime" I said removing my seatbelt and opening the door. It had barely been 10 minutes and I was already having people fitting a security system to my doors.

Kate honked before leaving me alone. She didn't need to be here right now, and I knew she needed to go pick up groceries, so I let her do her thing.

I spent most of the day just cleaning my room and kitchen since I hadn't been taking care of things recently maybe I should hire a cleaner too. Okay no scrap that idea now I'm just throwing money around.

Speaking of throwing money around I received a text from James. He was apparently having a mini barbecue at his place.
