Allison suddenly felt her heart pounding like crazy. She gripped her cutlery so tightly that her knuckles turned white from the pressure, yet she felt no pain at all. 

Nicholas told her that he lost his memory in a car accident when he was 15, and since then, he’d been living with his granny in Britain. He had a birthmark on his back that he was born with 

After ending his call, Nicholas put his phone down and said to Allison, “Sorry about that, a friend needed me.” He thought it was kinda rude to be on a long call during mealtime. 

However, he noticed Allison’s eyes were red and he was a little taken aback, What’s wrong, why are you crying again? Although you look good when you cry, I’m not bullying you” 

Allison was just feeling a wave of emotions. She didn’t know what to say. She felt scared, scared that she might be getting her hopes up for nothing, feeling like she was living in a dream, her emotions too overwhelming to control.

Her smile was a bit strained and goofy, but unexpectedly cute Nicholas passed her some tissues, “Alright, no more tears. I wasn’t picking on you.” 

Allison took the tissue and wiped her tears. 

Nicholas found Allison’s behavior a bit odd. This woman, demanding to see his ID on their first meet-up, a bit unreasonable and demanding, just like those women who wanted to get clase to him before. But she had a unique kind of cuteness, pure and innocent, with no ulterior motives in her eyes, and he didn’t mind her company. 

“You’ve smudged your eye makeup. Nicholas chuckled, stood up slightly, and wiped the corner of her eyes with a tissue. 

Allison was taken aback. I’m not wearing any makeup.” 

The door to the private room opened and a waitress walked in with a man and a woman. ‘Sir, madam, right this way.” 

The man was wearing a black suit, looking dashing, and the woman was wearing a pink floral dress with a woolen shawl draped over, her belly prominently bulging Penelope walked in, arm in arm with Lucian. 

The first thing Lucian saw was the familiar woman sitting across them. Another man was wiping her eyes, she appeared to have been crying, and the man was gerlly comforting her 

Lucian’s gaze immediately turned stern 

Penelope didn’t notice that The Lindberg family had arranged for her to have prenatal checkup that morning. They were very concerned about the baby, often arranging checkups for her, afraid the baby might have any issues 

Penelope had no choice but to agree. Thankfully, Pete’s people had been secretly handling things, and there hadn’t been any problems. 

The more the Lindberg family cared about the baby, the more anxious Penelope became. Only two months left until the baby’s birth, and although she could hide things for now, once the baby was born, there was no way they could trick the Lindberg family in a DNA test.
