I felt really bad for saying those things to Tracy, but I couldn't help myself, my ego couldn't take it, now all my ego earned me is an open offer to sign our divorce papers.

I was in a bad mood throughout and I avoided looking at Tracy, her swollen eyes were taunting me, it was very obvious she cried, she cried because of me, because of what I said to her, that fact disturbed me so much that I worked to the point of being overworked, even when Tracy left I didn't stop working, I only stopped when I felt my bones ache, my fingers refused to do any more work and I could barely keep my eyes open, that was when I stopped.

I managed to drive myself home and I got into my bed without undressing, I see no reason to because everything is gradually becoming meaningless.

The night was unfortunately cold as I slept with only thoughts of Tracy putting her hands around me, giving me her medicinal hug, it was a long and cold night.

I woke up very early the next morning, I did my routine and I left for work, Tracy wasn't there yet so I continued with the documents on my table even though my body was still aching from the work I did yesterday.

Tracy came in later and flinched when she saw me.

"What are you doing in here so early?" She asked but I didn't reply, she dropped the latte and the sandwich she was carrying in front of me and I looked up confused.

"Breakfast."

"Why?"

"I made a little too much for myself and my children so I decided to bring it to you so I won't have to dispose of it." She replied

"Thank you."

"Please excuse me." She said leaving my office.

I stared at the homemade sandwich and tears pooled in my eyes, it has been six long years since I've last tasted anything Tracy made, after the harsh things I said to her yesterday, she still decided to bring me breakfast.

I'm normally a stubborn cold-hearted person, but when it comes to Tracy and things that she does, I have a change of emotion, she is the only one who can control my emotion with things she does.

I didn't realize I was very hungry until I took a bite from the sandwich, the rest of the sandwich was gone in less than 5 minutes, I drank the latte and I got back to work, Tracy came in a few minutes after.

"You have another meeting with the company from yesterday, The manager requested some documents which you might have to go through before I take it to him, then you have to finish with the documents on your table, no rush, they are not urgent." She said and I nodded.

She turned to leave but I stopped her.

"Are you done with the client list?"
