The Deadly Alpha novel Chapter 1

I watched the view from inside as my pack warriors continued to train and my little sister was giggling beside me like she had no clue what was happening to the world.

"Desti, I made your favorite cake," mom shouted from the kitchen as I carried my baby sister with a big smile on my face for it was my birthday.

The cake glistened with chocolate frosting and a princess toy on top, as much as I wanted to be happy on my birthday, I was feeling scared because today was not only my birthday but it was my shift day; the day where I meet my wolf.

I had always imagined what kind of wolf I would have but I was also grateful for my pack and my family. My sister clapped her chubby hands with dimples on both of her cheeks when I blew the candles surrounding the magnificent cake.

The screams errupted from far away and I had warning signs in my head as my eyes took in the trail of fire beginning to expand, with all of my instincts, I lifted my baby sister in my arms and took my mother's hand as they both screamed in terror.

It was amazing how quickly life took turns on us in a second, in a special moment.

I gave mom my baby sister as she cried for me and the Alpha grasped my arm as the glass shattered, he lifted me on his back and sped away from the explosion of glass and metal, leaving my mom and sister behind.

"No!" I screamed as I tried to get away from Alpha's hold but he was stronger than me. "Mom! Eva!" I cried out as tears streamed down my eyes.

"We managed to escape, gather around everyone." The alpha ordered and the team gathered around in obedience as they all were slashed in the face or dust covered their eyes, they were all shaken.
