The Deadly Alpha novel Chapter 10

"What do you want?" I sharply replied when someone so rudely shoved me out of my comfortable bed. It was one of those annoying guards the Alpha put up. It was only ten am for Pete's sake.

"The Alpha ordered me to guide you to breakfast, he wants to talk to you." The armored man gruffly said and I grew even more irritated. What kind of a wake-up pill did he take? We slept at three in the morning and he managed to wake up at ten am, who does that?

"Well, tell your Alpha to shove it." I hotly replied and went back to my bed and into the soft pillows. The guard attempted some more until he gave up and reported to the Alpha, who barged into my room.

"Destalia, wake the fuck up and stop being a child." The Alpha roared at me, carrying me out of the very comfortable bed. The guards seemed scared of him when he was angry at me, they quickly went back to their positions in front of my room.

"You're being a child, I don't want to eat, I want to sleep." I groaned and he glanced at me in amusement before getting back to his stony expression.

"I'm going to drop you in a cold bath if you don't open your eyes." He warned and I grunted, muttering a string of curses under my breath, that Alpha was sure as stubborn and angry all the time.

"I'm awake, ugh." I opened my eyes at his flawless face and blinked to get rid of the sleepy haze I was so blissfully in.

His arms were soft around my body as he carried me downstairs in only my silk short nightdress and I gasped, he stared down at the bare area above my breasts with dark lust in his eyes.

"Hey, eyes up here." I snapped my finger but the mixed excitement in my chest said otherwise, Lace kept dropping sexual hints inside my mind and I was blushing furiously.

He smirked when he felt my wolf stirred in dirty thoughts and gave me a peck on the side of my mouth, making my heart almost escape out of my ribcage. That jerk knew what effect he had on me and took that to his advantage as his hands lingered on the small of my back when he dropped me gently to walk to the dining room.

I pulled my body away from his touch and he rolled his eyes at my antics, I was not going to surrender that easily. He was so irritating with his mood switches.

He can use his very irritating skills in bed with us. I shivered at Lace's dirty thoughts at imagining that. I was definitely not having a threesome with my wolf, me and my mate.

"As I told you before, the war is going to happen today so I expect you to be in the safe house with other women and children." I forgot about that for a moment. The dread crept up my skin like a second coat and the fear of losing my mate was getting harder on me since I just found out a few days ago.
