The bushy-haired man with a fat belly stood with a demeaning look that could make everyone want to run away. He was a grand Alpha and his son was to take his throne when he retired.

I learned so much about him when Alpha, my mate, introduced me to him as an old friend of his from when his dad used to rule Sterlight pack. I was hesitant to say hi at first because he was detecting me to the point where I felt like I was going to crack under the pressuring look on his face.

"Congratulations on your first new baby, Kaden, I heard he was just born within a week almost." The burly man stated.

"Yes, he was impatient just like I was." Alpha lightened the mood as he rubbed his palm against my back to comfort me, I appreciated it.

Crystal was behind the man as she waved wildly and fake cut her neck with wide eyes.

She means to get away from that man because he was dangerous. Lace contributed. It was humorous how the man was talking yet Crystal was jumping up and down like a drug addict.

Alpha and the man continued to drone on and on about business, I excused myself so I could check on Kaden since the baby monitor had no signal.

I opened the bedroom door as my heartbeat accelerated when the guards were in a bloody mess, Kaden was crying and I had to get to his crib somehow without stepping on the blood.

Come here, fast. I mind linked the Alpha as he sensed my urgency.

A scream was heard as I turned around to see another coffee haired lady when she saw me then stared at the guards who were dead, eleven ones to be exact since I was very protective and we had to take caution.

"You did this." She pointed a finger at me. The nerve she had of accusing me was hefty on my shoulders as I looked into her terrified eyes until she ran away. Sighing, I grabbed Kaden once I left my heels on the floor and made my way on top of the bed to the other side so I could reach him.

I wasn't going to keep defending myself at the disbelieving pack members and work to earn their trust anymore, I was a Luna, not their servant. I had to act like one sooner than later.

"Hush, mama is here." I cooed at my scared baby as I rubbed his back and he settled down eventually. The symbol glowed furiously red until it came back to a clear color.

The Alpha ordered more guards to clean up the floor that was pooled with blood after taking the dead ones away, he was more than raged in which veins on his neck throbbed furiously as his eyes turned dark black.

"Calm down." I soothingly said as I touched his tight clambered fist.
