It was as if time itself were silently slipping away, unnoticed, while buried secrets long sealed in the past began to stir. 

The oppressive sunlight, bright and unforgiving, cast its unyielding rays on the Emberleaf Fans, those relics forgotten by time. The light illuminated them, making them sparkle as if they were crystal–clear waters, a serene reflection of purity. 

The clarity of that light seemed to transcend time itself, as though those fans held the gaze of ancient eyes –eyes that could see through all the deceitful plots and false pretenses of power–hungry men. 

The moment the bronze box was opened, the old, deferential rules were shattered. 

Like a breath of fresh wind that swept in, it seemed to release two droplets of pure, ethereal water, sending them down to the mortal realm. 

On the castle wall, Waldo stared nervously at Robin’s hands, where the Emberleaf Fans glowed with an almost magical aura. 

For a moment, he was unsure of how to react to this unexpected development. 

How could the key to the Mystic Realm forbidden zone be in the hands of this Star Troopers commander–in–chief? 

If not, how could he dare to boast that he could reduce the Shadow Castle’s impregnable defenses to rubble? 

Pierre, Alexander, and the other Star Troopers elites were equally stunned, holding their breath in disbelief. 

They couldn’t believe it–at such a life–or–death moment, Robin was resorting to this sort of low–level psychological tactic. 

The Mystic Realm master of Shadow Castle was no ordinary opponent. He was a true powerhouse, wielding weapons that could destroy the Earth hundreds of times over. 

What was there to fear from a mere threat? 

What they couldn’t understand, however, was why Robin had pulled out an ornament. 

Is it some sort of superweapon developed by the Advanced Science Department? 

That’s absurd! 

If this were truly enough to shake Waldo and Garth, then the L1 Mystic Realm Semifinals would be nothing but a joke. 

Sure enough, after a brief moment of shock, Waldo burst into laughter. 

“So, you’re the Star Troopers commander–in–chief, Robin?” he laughed. “It seems the Thalrex Order War Games Division has been playing games for the past 20 years, haha … 

“You fool, trying to dazzle us with tricks–what a waste of time! 

“Hand over the 20 qualifying token chips you’re holding to this Regional Commander, or none of you will leave the Mystic Realm alive!”

“Qualifying token chips?” Pierre and the others froze in shock. 

They didn’t understand what the realm master needed these chips for. 

These chips were the key to their entry into the LI Mystic Realm, representing the entire system for accessing it.

Without them, it was like losing their eyesight. In this vast, desolate island, they wouldn’t be able to see or sense anything. 

More importantly, without the chips, all contact with the Thalrex Order’s Advanced Science Department would be cut off. 

Losing the chips was as good as being sentenced to death. 

Robin ignored Waldo’s demands, his focus entirely on the Emberleaf Fans. 

His instincts told him that these fans were connected to the Mystic Realm forbidden zone key in some way. 

Waldo, losing his patience, snarled, “Since you refuse to cooperate, then I’ll deal with this woman first! 

“Bring her here! Let me show them what happens when you defy Shadow Castle’s orders!” 

As they reached the southwestern gate of Shadow Castle, Waldo and his men dragged Mona in front of the 

gates. 

Pierre stepped forward and said, “Waldo, your actions are a serious violation of the Mystic Realm rules! We are members of the Star Troopers, here on orders from the Thalrex Order War Games Division. 

“The Mystic Realm master, Garth, has not only failed to properly welcome us into the castle but has also strictly prohibited us from approaching Shadow Castle. 

“We’ve established our base here, and you’ve illegally used superweapons to destroy it. 

“This is a direct violation of the Thalrex Order’s Mystic Realm rules. If we were to terminate the competition, we would report this directly to the Thalrex Order War Games Division … 

” 

“Complain all you want!” Waldo scoffed, his voice dripping with mockery. “Let’s see how those fools at the War Games Division react. 

“They were informed that the Star Troopers who ventured into the Mystic Realm were ambushed by alien 

creatures. 

“Our forces eliminated the alien threat.” 

Pierre and the others were momentarily speechless. 

This desolate space island was naturally chaotic, constantly vulnerable to outside forces breaching its defenses. 

Waldo’s explanation was just convincing enough for the War Games Division to reluctantly accept it. 

Besides, they wouldn’t dare challenge him, as he had his hand on the trigger of the most devastating superweapon ever created. 

If he lost his temper and directed that missile toward Earth, the consequences would be nothing short of

Standing at the city gate, Waldo studied the expressions of Robin, Pierre, and the rest, his lips curling into a sneer. “Still thinking about filing a complaint? 

“My advice? Do what the realm master ordered–hand over your token chips. Who knows, you might still earn a spot in the realm master’s elite guard. 

“If not, you’ll disappear forever into the endless abyss of time and space … 

Just then, a series of sharp beeping sounds interrupted the standoff.

Waldo glanced at his communicator. The signal came from Garth. Without hesitation, he played the voice 

message. 

As he listened, his gaze shifted to the Emberleaf Fans in Robin’s grasp, his pupils constricting in shock. 

Robin caught the flicker of change in Waldo’s expression. 

At that moment, he became certain–the superweapon’s activation system hidden within the L1 Mystic Realm’s forbidden zone was directly tied to the Emberleaf Fans and the bronze box. 

The only problem was, he still hadn’t figured out how to trigger the launch. 

The sunlight glinted off the Emberleaf Fans, casting an eerie glow. 

Amid the suffocating tension, the object remained silent, as if biding its time. 

After ending the call, Waldo exhaled slowly. “Commander–in–chief Ramsey, I suggest you keep your 

composure. 

“The realm master just informed me that two Dragon Soul operatives infiltrated my Shadow Castle, attempting to steal the Mystic Realm’s superweapon for use against the alien forces. 

“This is the most highly classified restricted zone of the Mystic Realm. Under such circumstances, the realm master’s guards could have executed them on sight. 

“Bring them up!” Waldo commanded coldly. A moment later, Catherine and Maverick were dragged onto the city tower by two guards. 

“Commander–in–chief Ramsey, I assume these two belong to your Dragon Soul unit? 

“The realm master is willing to release them without holding them accountable. 

“But in return, you must surrender the Emberleaf Fans and your token chips. 

“If you comply, Garth will meet with you personally at the Shadow Castle’s command center.” 

Robin caught the subtle tremor in Waldo’s tone. 

That hesitation only confirmed what he had begun to suspect–the Emberleaf Fans were the key to the superweapon’s activation. 

Noticing Robin’s reluctance, Waldo pulled out an electronic laser gun, leveling it at Catherine, Maverick, 

and Mona.
