It was, admittedly, quite the surprise.

Jasper glanced over in Sellers’ direction. “Where’s Sellers? The auction’s already started and he’s still not back?”

Foreman, remembering how Sellers had been drenched, said, “He probably went to change his clothes.”

“What? He went to change?” Jasper’s eyes grew wide. “He harasses someone and then just goes to change his clothes? Don’t tell me—”

Something seemed to occur to Jasper, and his expression turned complicated, as if struggling to find the right words.

“Wait, was it his pants that got messed up? Seriously? I always thought he was the charming type, but this is downright creepy!

God, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to look at him the same way again!”

“Foreman, you said he got hit and still wouldn’t leave, and then told her he’d remember her… Damn, is he some kind of masochist? Maybe he just likes getting humiliated?”

The more Jasper spoke, the more outrageous his theories became.

Those sitting nearby overheard Jasper’s dramatic commentary, and couldn’t help but give him sidelong glances. A few even started whispering amongst themselves.

“So Sellers is that kind of guy? That’s disgusting.”

“My friend’s daughter has a crush on him… No way, I need to warn her about this so she doesn’t end up making a huge mistake.”

“To do something like that in public, at an event like this… isn’t that going a bit far?”

“What do you know? Some people live for the thrill!”

By the time Sellers finally returned, dressed in fresh clothes, the bidding that had been ongoing came to an abrupt halt as people caught sight of him. For a moment, the entire room seemed to freeze.

Sellers frowned, not yet realizing what was going on. But he was no ordinary man—he was used to being the center of attention. Without so much as a flicker of emotion, he walked back to his seat.
