Sera chuckled softly. 

“Yes, but cheated. He hid it from me, his friends hid it from me, and perhaps you did too.” She was pretty sure Emily had heard about Julian’s affair, because Chloe fainted due to her pregnancy at her last birthday party, 

Emily had pressured them to have children since they got married. Julian, however, was reluctant to make Sera endure the pain of childbirth. This constant pressure had made his mother dislike ora and treat her poorly. So, when Chloe was pregnant, Emily cast aside all principles and took Chloe’s side. She ignored her husband’s disapproval and Sera’s heartbreak because having a grandchild was paramount. 

A bitter smile touched Sera’s lips. Emily had condoned her son’s infidelity and yet was now trying to get her to visit him. 

“Please tell him this. He’s not just torturing himself; he’s torturing me.” 

“Haven’t I suffered enough? He’s driving me to suicide.” 

Sera dismissed Julian’s mother with a gesture. 

Seeing his mother come back alone, the last flicker of hope in Julian’s eyes died. He didn’t speak, simply gesturing for her to leave. 

He picked up their wedding photo, tears of regret falling onto Sera’s smiling face. He knew that it was all his fault. He’d told himself he’d done it because he didn’t want Sera to suffer childbirth. But the truth was, his heart had fallen for Chloe during the affair. 

Fate was cruel. The man who’d vowed eternal loyalty and love at their wedding had cheated.

det down the photo. His lifeless eyes fell upon a fruit knife. Sera had asked him what he would 

do if himself was the problem. Now he knew the answer. 

“Aaah!” 

“Someone’s dead!”
