“How could this happen?” 

Liam’s mother’s initial shock quickly turned to anger.“Summer’s outrageous. She didn’t tell anyone she was pregnant, and used such an extreme method to pressure you. I’ve misjudged her.” 

“Mom,” Liam groaned, his voice filled with pain.“Do you have any conscience? Don’t you nderstand why Summer did this? We pushed her to this point. She’s heartbroken. She wants a divorce. She wants nothing more to do

Vivian stared at the vial, her face paling. “It seems Summer really wants a divorce. We ruined her.” “Mom, it’s your fault. When Chloe got pregnant, you should have made her have an abortion! Chloe’s not a good person. Summer is her best friend, but she slept with her best friend’s husband! What kind of person does that make her?” 

“Chloe…” Liam’s burned with rage.

Liam was consumed with regret. 

He shouldn’t have been lenient with Chloe. He should have forced her to have an abortion. If he’d focused on me, I wouldn’t have left. 

Terrible thoughts flooded his mind: Had Chloe orchestrated everything? Kidnapped me? His mind was blank, his fingers growing numb; the chill spreading through him like frost. Whether kidnapped or simply gone, he had to find me, to spend the rest of his life making amends. 

He sped to Chloe’s villa, determined to question her about my disappearance. 

Meanwhile, Chloe experienced true despair. 

A group posing as delivery drivers, members of an online “Justice for Summer” group, burst into 

her house. 

Someone grabbed her hair, slapping her repeatedly. 

“This is the homewrecker! This is the bitch who betrayed her best friend! Everyone, look!” 

Someone started livestreaming the assault. 

Someone held Chloe’s face towards the camera, shouting, “Look at this homewrecker who caused Summer’s miscarriage and divorce! Look at her face… did she get plastic surgery to seduce Liam? Let me check her nose…” 

Someone squeezed Chloe’s nose. 

Chloe, in a panic, screamed, “You’re trespassing! I’ll sue you!” 

“Sue us?” someone laughed. “You’re a homewrecker! You broke up Summer’s marriage, your best

Chloe shrieked, “Why shouldn’t I? Summer’s disabled! She hasn’t walked for seven years! If you were men, would you be interested in her? Liam loves me! He doesn’t love Summer anymore! She’s clinging to him, refusing to let go…”

Someone slapped Chloe again,
