Liam’s rage was a physical force, concentrated in his fingertips. 

He squeezed Chloe’s throat, as if to break it. 

Chloe’s face turned purple; she gasped for air, her hand trembling as she tried to pry his fingers loose.“Liam… I’m… pregnant with your child!” 

The pain in her abdomen was agonizing, nearly making her faint.
