She smiled gently. I shook my head. No, she has to believe this is reality, and my first meeting with my mate went great.

Clarina stepped out of the forest, and waved goodbye to me before she went to her house. I stood and looked after her until the door closed behind her. Only then I let out a howl of joy before I turned around to run back to the pack house.

Matthews P.O.V

When I came back to the pack house, I quickly changed form, and went up to the house in human form. Simon came out the door and looked at me.

"Well how did it go, you got to talk to her?"

He asked, I couldn't help but smile before I shook my head.

"No, I didn't speak to her, but she met Mathieu."

Simon looked at me surprised.

"Did you tell her what you are? But I didn't think she would talk to you, it can't possibly have gone well. "

He said, and my smile lost a little of its sparkles before it came back.

"No, I didn't tell what we are, I let Mathieu take over. And when she saw us, she accepted us quickly. For god sake, my mate is brave, encounters a giant wolf, and after a short time, it's as if it's her pet. But it was great that she just took in my wolf like that, as soon as I appeared to her in wolf form I regretted it, because I thought I had ruined it all."

Simon still stared at me.

"You mean, you showed up in front of her as your wolf, and she didn't realize that you were human, and yet she accepted Mathieu? - Does she know about our kind already? "

He asked, and I shook my head.

"No, I'm sure she had no idea that I could be a human, she was surprised at how human Mathieu behaved, but she treated him like he was a large dog"

Simon laughed at my last sentence.

"I'm sure Mathieu wasn't happy about that."

I couldn't help but laugh with him.

"No, he made it clear to her that he doesn't like the dog title, but surprisingly he allowed it, if it was anyone else who had called him an overgrown dog, there had been trouble, but he allowed Clarina teasing him at that point."

Simon gave me a brotherly hug.

"I'm so happy for you, the first meeting between your wolf and your mate went well, it hopefully makes it a little easier."

He seemed pleased with my answer and laughed.

"It's some of a mate you've got you. She must be a very resourceful woman, when she can accept a giant wolf near her. And to top that, she is an Alphas mate. You should be proud that it's her you've got as a mate, I'm sure she'll surprise us more as the time pass."

Clarina's P.O.V

I could feel that Mathieu standing at the edge of the woods, until I had come inside. This was insane I had just spent several hours in the company of a giant male wolf! I know it sounds crazy, but there was something about him that made me want to know him better. I stepped into the kitchen, and immediately my mother came out to me.

"Sweetheart, finally you are home, where have you been? You had a good time at the party? Was there any cute guys? "

She asked, as she pulled me into a hug. I laughed happily, this was my mother in a nutshell, she behaving as a teenager, and would always know everything. And I loved her exactly as she was. But before I got the answer, Benjamin came into the kitchen and said with a smile.

"I hope you didn't had too much fun, and that there weren't too many nice boys. You are my little girl and I more than anything want to keep you to myself, so I know you're safe. "

He smiled fondly before he gave me a huge hug. I noticed how he stiffened, and it was as if he sniffed me. Yes I said sniffed! WTF?!. He pulled back and looked down on me.

"Who have you been with?"

I looked questioningly between him and my mother. Confused about the over-protective way he said it. I blush a little while my thoughts went back to when I woke up, and in what condition. I then squinted at my stepfather. There with a deadly voice said.
