Kingston pictured Rose in his mind—her voluptuous figure, rounded hips, and fiery red lips. His heart suddenly raced with a desire for her, but he'd already made his decision known.

On the sixth floor of Gembrooke Building, a woman sat in the reception area, holding a small mirror as she applied her lipstick.

Her slim, long legs looked amazing in her black stockings. It was a sight that could be admired repeatedly without ever getting tired of it.

Her fitted skirt hugged her hips tightly, making them look firm and shapely. Just seeing it gave off the temptation to see how it might feel.

She wore a white blouse with red stripes that fit perfectly. It was tailored to fit snugly around her waist, making her slim figure stand out. Her curves above the waist filled out the blouse, giving it a voluptuous shape.

Her name was Selene Cardona. Her good looks landed her the job as the front desk receptionist. She knew she was attractive, and it was her most invaluable asset.

Outside the Gembrooke Building, Matthew and Kingston headed inside together.

As Kingston walked, he glanced around his surroundings. "The place looks great, and it seems like a good place to work. I just hope the people here don't shut me out. I've had enough of that."

Life in Woolfields was so suffocating that he'd come home completely drained. Dealing with the townspeople and neighbors was frustrating. Since he couldn't change them, he just gave up.

Starting fresh in a new place, Kingston felt a tiny spark of hope inside.

"If you put it that way, then I'll give it a shot."

After applying lipstick to her bottom lip, Selene pressed her lips together to blend it onto the top lip. Then, she looked into the mirror to check it out.

Suddenly, a shadow loomed over her. She looked up and saw a man's face up close, his eyes fixed intently on her.

Selene jumped in surprise. "What are you doing?"

Seeing her beauty and figure, Kingston's eyes lit up. "I'm the new guy who just started here. Are you going to welcome me?"

Frowning, Selene gave Kingston a once-over. The longer she looked, the more skeptical she became.

With dull hair, Kingston looked skinny and pale. Dressed in a ragged T-shirt with a misshapen collar from years of wear, he definitely looked like he was struggling.

His outfit was a far cry from the company's polished professionals. On top of that, the company hadn't been hiring lately.
