Upon hearing the noises from the room, Tracy's cheeks flushed red as though she had drank too much.

With a dreamy look in her eyes, she bit her lower lip and slowly pressed her legs together. She held her knees tightly, gently rubbing them against each other.

A mix of emotions washed over Tracy. Just thinking about Rachel being intimate with Matthew made her want to barge in and throw him out.

Tracy felt like Rachel belonged to her, and no one else could lay a hand on Rachel. But she held back in the end, knowing it could mean the end of her friendship with Rachel if she went so far.

Meanwhile, a thought crossed her mind, and she couldn't help but feel ashamed of it. Was the pleasure of being a man so wonderful?

The office suddenly went quiet. Tracy could tell that things were finally over.

Fearing Matthew would come out and see her by the door, she held onto the wall and stumbled away. Her resentment toward him grew deeper.

Gritting her teeth, Tracy swore to herself. "Just you wait. Sooner or later, you'll get what's coming. When that happens, Rae will be mine again."

In the office, Rachel wiped the sweat off her forehead with the back of her smooth hand. The hair around her temples was wet, and her cheeks were rosy. She breathed heavily, as though she just finished running a marathon.

Looking at Matthew with her adorable eyes, Rachel noticed his lips were a bit dry. She picked up the half-finished coffee on the table and passed it to him.

"You look thirsty. Have some."

Feeling like his throat was burning up, Matthew grabbed the coffee and downed it in one gulp before putting the cup down.

Noticing the lipstick stain on the cup, Rachel's expression changed. She realized Tracy, herself, and Matthew drank from the same spot. Did the three of them just basically share a kiss?

Out of the blue, she thought about the stunning bodyguard with a cold demeanor.

Feeling exasperated, Rachel's face turned red. "Can you be serious for once, you pervert?"

Matthew took his hand off his belt and looked up at the ceiling, racking his brain for an explanation.

Rachel crossed her arms and locked her eyes on Matthew, expecting a flawless explanation. But deep down, she was worried.

Matthew shifted his gaze from the ceiling to Rachel. "Some time ago, Isaac talked about taking revenge on me. I was worried something might happen to Stanley, Lillian, and Lorraine, so I hired a bodyguard.

"Male bodyguards aren't exactly attentive, and I didn't trust them with Lorraine. In the end, I hired a female bodyguard. That's the whole story."

Rachel had already guessed this all along, but she just wanted to hear it from Matthew. What mattered to her was his attitude, and he did seem genuine.

After a pause, Rachel slowly said, "The fact that you went to prison for your wife shows that you're both devoted and caring, so I really value my relationship with you. I hope you won't let me down. Let's leave it at that."
